Nope. The pcm won't know the difference.
i beg to differ there. l36 bottom end, headers, rockers, lightly ported heads and stock pulley on a gen 3 i had to pull one degree timing wot from 3600 to 6400 rpm to make it kr free.
ive helped a few members here tune top swaps, all needed one degree less timing too to be kr free.

I guess as long as he isn't hammering on it, why not run a 2.8" and 87 octane, too?
