• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Just got car now knocking

sorry got you mixed up lol

you can run it then, just stay out of boost till you get it tuned. its gonna have kr with stock gtp timing.

ive found one degree less works good for a gen 3 blower on a stock pulley, the gen 5 is a bit better, so you may need to pull 2 degrees timing to not have kr.

your installing headers too? that will help with the kr.

also how much are you selling the tuner for? and will it work for my car? what about the input interface? is it usb?

ill let it go for 200 shipped. you'll need to get a keyspan adapter for it. its a serial to usb converter. runs off any windows laptop, and yes it can tune a 05. you 04 up guys need to pull the radio fuse to read and write to the pcm, building a off board rig is the safest way for you guys to flash your years. theres a how to for that too. if you can read and follow a diagram and re pin two plugs and solder wires and add a power supply to it, your golden.

off board set up how to. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threads/102303-Easy-bench-harness-99-and-04 i made one for the 04 up cars, but its un tested, others in the thread say it works perfectly.

i need to wait for my new one to come, then this one is up for sale. might be a week or so. if you want it and can buy it when im ready to sell it in a week or so ill not post it and call it sold already.

the keyspan adapter is part # USA-19HS you'll need to down load a driver for it for your os, its free off their web site. adapter costs like 20 or so iirc.

that adapter is like 30. might as well get it new at twenty dollars more. im skipping on the headers. im going to sell the car. i ordered a plog though. so it will be safe to run without supercharger belt?

Haven't done this in a while since working on ls engines. The two rubber seal at each end of lower intake, they need silicone under it? Or just at the ends

run 104 copper pugs, gaped to 0.50

put a dab in all 4 corners, then install the lim and rubber side gaskets, then another dab in the same 4 corners a top the lim and rubber sides, smear it so it covers the gap to both gaskets, do the same with the first dab too.

Is there a place that sells the little studs that go into the heads for the manifold? There are two on each head for the manifold? I think maybe the machine shop took one out and didn't replace it

not sure what pins you mean. only pins i know of are on the lim top to align the blower properly.

unless you mean exhaust studs that are on the outs side bolt holes? if this<< napa sells exhaust stud kits, you put the gasket in place then install the studs in all the threaded holes, put the header on and then nut them on. they hold much tighter then bolts, thats a for damn sure. only cost about 10 bucks.

Hey I took the oil pan off. This is the aluminum oil pan. Can I put black regular rtv on it? And when I shook all the rods, are they supposed to have a tad of play in it? It's not a lot very slight play on all of them
