you got a set of headers too right? you need them, its not really an option. and a tune will really help, it will run on the sc pcm, but it may have some kr. top swaps seem to like one less degree timing.
 
At this point I really want to spend the least. After getting headers and fibbing up a fenderwell intake you think I could get away without a tune. Women have been coming by looking at the car and I just want to sell. I'm tempted to just throw the n/a engine in and find a n/a pcm and debadge the car

yes, 05 is the last year they support.

you need to remove you radio fuse when reading and writing to your car.

oh, and you need to tell the avt guy the box is for dhp.
 


I had to end up getting a pass through socket set. Those rear manifold bolts were hard to remove. Now I have another question. Does anyone make o2 sensor extension for our car? Do I need just one? If I install the headers on engine stand, would it be easier going in the car? Do the headers connect to the factory exhaust with cat? Or is deleted? Will I have codes from installing headers like the ls1 cars do? I want to keep emission stuff when I get ready to sell the car. With no check engine lights
 
Or would it be best installing a plog? I'm not going to worry about getting it tuned. I'm in it too much money at this point. I'm going to run 4.0 pulley headers and fenderwell cai. Would that be enough to keep knock retard away? So learning about these engines
 
zzp sells one, or you can cut your plug off the cars harness leaving as much of a pig tail as you can and just solder in new wire to make the harness longer.

NO you cant cut the o2 sensors plug off and make that longer, its got a ss wire you cant solder to well.

headers come with no cat, you can delete the cat codes form your pcm in the tune.


i used a ratcheting box wrench to get the stock mannys off and the headers back on. removing the pull brackets makes it much easier to get to the bolts too.

the headers will bolt right up to the cat back. no issue there at all. if you want a cat you can get a hi flow on off ebay for 50 bucks and get it welded in place.

and you need to beat the firewall in a bit where the o2 is going to hit it.

and dont put the headers on first, lay the rear header in place and drop the engine in, then bolt it all up.
