its like the minimum points though
Being 17, I'm sure you're paying out the ass already.
I am curently in school to be a cop and on the back of the ticket there is a naritive of what happened that night for the DA to read for court purposes (most people do not know this) So depending on what the cop wrote down on the back of the ticket is how lucky your going to get. But i don't think it will affect your insurance once you turn 18. I lost my license at 17 with -32 points got it back a year later and insurance is not as bad as i thought it would be. Now im 19 a policy for me and my girl runs like 875.00ish for 6 months for the two of us
lol now a little off topic but here it goes
lol my friends dad is a sergant at Racine PD (known him since i was about 5ish) i talked to him about it and he said it shouldn't be a problem as long as i keep my record clean and don't mess up again. He said when it comes time and they look at my record it looks like i was a dumb kid that made a few bad choices. I took the point class even tho it was not manditory and the -32 is because when your under 18 points double after first ticket. It's been a little over 2 years and ticket free. So what does that tell you? I was a dumb and inmature 17 year old
Just wanted to how you how the court process worked in PA, Check to see if there were any mistakes on the citation. I worked four years with the sheriff office. The only reason im tellin you to google it, is so you can reasearch and know how the process works and what to expect. Im 31 and I remember when I got my first citation and was askin the same questions, but i didnt have the technoloy we have now. FYI!!! Im talkin to rocafella2032 and not you other A**holes. Im not her to bash, but here to offer my experiance.i read it,dont exactly see the connection to this case?
f**k google. You can win..... if you have the time and money or it's some outlandish case. Plead not guilty. Worst can happen is being convicted of what you were originally cited for!
I have never dealt with the smoking end of things. But for traffic tickets in PA, when you plead not guilty, then will send you a court date. You show up (make sure to dress nice and be respectable) and wait to be called in. You go in front of the judge, he will ask you some questions, and then make a quick decision. Don't try to explain anything he doesn't ask you. Don't try to offer to show him your grades or whatever. Just state what happened and that you didn't mean to blow the light. Admit the pot only if it comes up. Basically, the judge is trying to get through a bunch of cases in a short time.
The cop may come to you before hand and try to plead it down. If that happens, take what he is offering. They do that so the judge doesn't have such a big case load. So if you deny their offer, they usually get ticked and put the screws to ya if possible. So take what they offer before the hearing, it is the best they are going to do.
i agree with that.. i've fought several tickets.. some cop didn't show up so case dropped.. one ticket was for doin wheelies on the rocket, there was four of us riding together and we all got tickets, three only did wheelies so we all fought it and all got off cuz they couldn't distinguish without a doubt who did it. other times i ate the ticket.. all at no extra cost
