I need court advice

So basically show up and see what happens. But I think some people get themselves in trouble my thinking they can always get out of the ticket. Or that they can talk their way out of it. Or they know something the judge/cop doesn't. If you go in there with an attitude or notion of how things will go, they will nail you everytime on it.

The cop may come to you before hand and try to plead it down. If that happens, take what he is offering. They do that so the judge doesn't have such a big case load. So if you deny their offer, they usually get ticked and put the screws to ya if possible. So take what they offer before the hearing, it is the best they are going to do.

when i go to court i will speak to the officer and explain to him. and ask him to reduce points

do you not read anything...the officer can't do that...only the DA or someone in his office can change the charge after it has been filed. CALL THEM ASAP

I may work differently where you are from. But I have been through this very thing in many different places in PA. For traffic summons, there is no DA or Assnt. DA present. Just the judge, maybe officer of the court, and the cop. I have never been to a traffic case where a DA was present. It is just you, the judge, and the cop. And calling ahead never did a thing. They want you to wait to your court day. They won't talk to you over the phone about it. You have a date and they will settle it then.

If you have a lawyer things are different. But the kid doesn't. He best bet is to show up for court the day he is supposed to and try to work things out. So until then, calm down man.
 
It's not really a laughing matter. And again you contributed another useless post street. I don't beileve PA has a DA or whatever. My only option is to wait til my date. I have nothing to loose.

Every area in PA (by county) has a DA. But they are not going to work on a traffic court case for a $109 fine. Just not the way it works.

And street was laughing because you were so confident that you could just talk to the cop, explain everything and get it worked out. Like I posted before, don't offer up any more information than what they ask of you. You trying to plead your case to them isn't going to get you anywhere. If they offer you something, it is probably they best you will get, so take it. If you do get in front of the judge, don't think you can talk or explain your way out of it. You can't. Just answer the questions they ask simply and honestly. No long explanations or anything.
