Brando's All New Cruze

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

1999:
Different Throttle body. Same electronics & mounting but the MAF sensor is setup different

That's what ZZP says

Re: The "Other" Blue GTP

haven't updated in a little piece. what's new..? found a vac leak the other day at the pcv cover plate. probably my fault.. either way, got a new valve and o-ring and rtv and done it up real nice :) no more vac leaks, it idles smooth and low now. throttle body sticks every now and then but it's tolerable. just as long as it doesn't drive itself like it did before.

however I'm still battling the missing coolant. thinkin about doing a compression test this weekend if possible. no visible external leaks... gotta be going somewhere

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

When I finished with blue car it was quality. I miss that car. And have no fear I can do it again to this car

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

I THINK I may have found some coolant on the ground when I left for lunch at work today. There was some wetness dead center of the car under the rad soo..that or it's just wishful thinking that it's external lol

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Ya know... Didn't even think about that. Are those relatively inexpensive? The lights to see them rather. I've seen the dye in autozone and such before but I've never looked into it. Definitely interested

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Also... found this today, good indication it's external.

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

I don't remember, but small leaks like that it's easier with the dye, but the stuff they sell at autozone doesn't work with dex.

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

So I"m learning... I found some stuff on amazon that's for dexcool. it's about 10 bucks. and looks like you can get a uv light for 10 bucks. so 20 bucks

Re: The "Other" Blue GTP

So today I'm going down the highway heat wide open on speed 5. All of a sudden it just turns off, poof, gone.

Wtf.. turns out every speed works but 5. 1, 2, 3, and 4 blow heat just fine. Turn it on 5, nothing. I just don't understand it. Because if it was the resistor I would have 5 only. And I checked the HVAC HI fuse along with all the rest, they're all good.

Also, when I let it sit 9 hours at work, it worked for about 10 minutes from startup. Then shut off. So it seems temperature related somehow.

Suggestions? Blower motor maybe? Sick of this crap, every day a new problem.

Re: The "Other" Blue GTP

Put a pressure test on the coolant system, heard some bubbling going on and then seen the elbows are leaking. However after I backed out I let it run so I could bleed it. And I seen a spot at the front of the car, center, towards the driver side. Like right where the driver side grill is a good indication of where it is.

I'm just not sure where to start, I could do elbows in no time but if I need a radiator then I'm just wasting my money in coolant. Thoughts gpf?

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Find where from in the radiator n clean and jb weld for the time being like Scotty just did. Make sure that's it, n that should keep it from leaking until you can replace it. And do elbow just because

Re: Brodon's 02 GT

Well the thing is I'm not sure WHERE at at the rad it's leaking and the more I pressure test it the worse the elbows are gonna get.
