Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

I remember that noise. Sounds so deep compared to mine anymore.

Gen V looks tits. Modded rails are now top priority #1

I'd keep an eye on that "tapped" fitting. TB gets pretty toasty, just make sure it's not melted any.

Agreed. Modded rails are definitely at the top of my list.

I'll keep an eye on that fitting. Hopefully it'll hold up. If not, who needs a PCV anyways? ;)

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

It should* hold up, but if it doesn't go get a 3/8" barbed brass fitting from any parts store, cut 1/4 of it off, and JB weld it in there (what I've run for a few thousand miles now no issues)

Should meaning, laws of science-stuff says it will, but Murphy's law disagrees.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

I do have a brass 3/8 Barbed fitting, but the bottom end you screw in was way bigger than the hole I drilled. And I wasnt about to drill any bigger, so I McGuyvered something up and that Vacuum Tee sits pretty snug in there as is.

If it starts to melt, back to Home Depot/Lowes.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

Tune running a 10.0 AFR. LOL

Headers/Intake/Plugs/Wires and built trans. The basics.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

ROFL, yeah, I seriously need to get my tune dialed in. But I was surprised to see it running so lean with no knock. Pulling 20* of timing atm.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

20* isn't too shabby at all.

Dump a bit more fuel, add a smidge of timing, you'll be golden.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

*Sniff Sniff* you smell that?

I'm smelling a 2.55" pulley.

Even though that may be less efficient than a 2.8, but that pulley is so small, it looks like you're running just a hub. LOL

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

Nice blower makes me want to take mines off and repaint mine did you replace the altenator with a 99+? I refused to replaced mine and just shave a little off the altenator bracket for clearance
