Looks good, but drive up to zzp n buy some modded rails lol

You funding? ;)

I actually don't want the zzp modded rails. I don't like how they go over the blower. W-Body store has modded rails that go around the blower. I want those instead, since I'm too poor for fuel logs.

Repaint those dogbones and bars the same red?

They are all painted the same red. I painted them all together using the same stuff. It may just look different from the lighting and may look less "red" from wear.

But I don plan on repainting them anyways eventually. So no need to get your panties in a bunch. :)

I may or may not have been directing that towards you.

was it towards you, or RED?

The world may never know.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

So after some thought, I decided to trade my 1.84 Yella Terra's for another set of rollers.

Reason behind this, is that I don't plan to cam anytime soon, if ever. So I'd like to make the most out of the rocker setup. Not sure on how much of a difference there is between 1.84 and 1.9 rockers, but every little bit helps.

Greg (GMR Badass) traded his 1.9 Harland Sharp Roller Rocker set for my Yella Terra's. Reviewing about Harland Sharp, they are hit or miss which made me nervous. But the ones he is giving me have been sent into Harland Sharp and have been updated to fix any old occuring problems with them.

Anyways, I'm debating whether to run 90# Yellow Ls6 springs or 105# springs. I've read on a Bonneville forum the Ls6 springs wont even work for the rockers. (Not sure how true that is).

Ls6 springs increase in pressure faster than 105's. Which in returns, wears out the Timing Chain Dampener quicker. Since I won't be going back into the valve train for a long time after the install, I'd like to do it right the first time.

I currently have the 90# Ls6 springs with Modded retainers. Should I sell those and pick up a set of 105's and use those with the modded retainers I already have?

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

I run 105 crows with my HS 1.9 setup.
Ive Never run 90# springs because of all the talk about the stress from them because of the spring rate.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

I would run 90# springs myself.

Why though? I've only heard they put more stress on the chain/dampener.

Exact same reason why I want 105#

Something I should consider.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

Yeah and I don't want to keep replacing my dampener every "X" amount of Miles compared to the 105s.

105s just seem to be the proven better spring and easier on the chain/dampener.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V Installed.

Like I stated before, I decided to trade my 1.84 Yella Terra Rockers for another set of roller.

I ended up getting some 1.9 Harland Sharp Roller Rockers, that have been refurbished/updated. Not sure how much of a difference there is between 1.84 and 1.9's but since I won't be going into the Valve Train for a long time after this install, I want the most out of the Rocker set up.

After talking with Greg (GMR Badass, who I got the Rockers from), I have decided to go with L76 springs since they are 90# springs still, but have less Valve Lash compared to the Ls6 springs. Easier on the dampener. With that being said, I will be selling my Ls6 springs, incase anyone is looking for a set.
