• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Top Swap Info and Faqs, Also lots of 3800 Info

Are they available at local shop or only online? Because if they aren't 100% needed it'd be an uneeded expense if I was to order them rights away, are you positive that the 98 inj will need it to install on my 00?

I'm saying go look at your injector connectors.

Take a picture if you want.

Then we can tell you 100%.

I'm suggesting this because I'm no longer sure and my source for this piece of information has since changed their site to exclude this information.

It ain't dismantled yet, so I doubt I can take pictures of them. I'd rather, have everything right, so I can only pass a weekend with it in the garage.

Excuse the newbishness here, but, where would be the location of the injectors? I don't have the plastic cover on the engine anyway, straight up with the L36 upper manifold intake.

And I think I've read somewhere that 01+ had those injector connectors. But before, didn't have them. But worth to check before everything.

Also for the MAP Sensor, would a L67 one chopped off work, or just get one from ZZP? So Easy Performance - L67 Swap Kit #11-01-00687 this kit or Easy Performance - L67 Map Sensor Plug #10-01-00686 the simple wires?

Sorry for all the questions, but afterall, somewhere in the OP it states to check for the most infos we can before doing anything! We have to begin at some point somewhere.

on the top of the plastic manifold there is a metal tube which is your fuel rail. follow this down to to three black plastic tubes. those are your injectors.

they have an electrical connector on them. this is what im referring to as the injector connector.

google image hv1 injector to see what they look like. if theyre the same as what you have youre fine.

for the map, either will work. however if you dont get the clip for the bbv solenoid, traction control will have to be disabled either in your tune of turning off the switch all of the time or rewiring it so its off by default.

I had better pictures, but it seems like my cellphone didn't bother saving them, but on this one, I seem to have one injector : http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/5586/2012010116415522.jpg
They seem to have the connectors on them, does this mean the 98 injectors won't fit or will they? And urgg, winter, makes my engine bay looks messy while it is always super clean.

And what about the bbv solenoid clip? Where can I get that, I like having traction control for cold/wet/slippery days.

yeah those are hv1. 98 gtp injectors will work.

id suggest buying the kit from zzp so you can maintain traction control.

Easy Performance - L67 Swap Kit #11-01-00687 That would be the kit to keep traction control?

Also, just for check up :

Those are the hards parts I'm getting from the 98 GTP :
Heads from SC motor
Harmonic Balancer From the SC motor
Tensioner for SC belt
Idlers for Sc belt
Coil Pack Bracket
Lower Intake Manifold from the SC motor
Fuel Rail
Fuel Injectors
Supercharger
Supercharger Belt
Throttle Body from SC motor(Doesn't have the MAF, so keeping my GT Maf, been told it would work.)

Anything missing?

As for ZZP :
Throttle Body Gasket
Supercharger Gasket
Lower intake Manifold Gaskets
Valve Cover Gaskets
Head Gaskets
Rocker bolts
Head Bolts
Supercharger Oil
Autolite 104 Spark Plugs
Colder Thermostat, 180*
Easy performance MAP Sensor

Anything missing there?

I've also talked to will about the tune up for the top swap, everything's good there. I'll get a Overkilled pcm.

i read through all of the parts on the parts list and cant quite make sense of what is needed. I have a 97 gt and just bought an l67 tonight. i will be doing a to swap soon and am wondering ( aside from the complete l67) what parts i will need. thanks for any input.

I have quite the complete list of needed part above your post, I think at least. Which is why I posted it here, wanting to know if I had every parts listed down, because I am about to part out everything out of a GTP.

Great writeup. I'm starting my research and am about to try to pull off this mod. I've got a 2000 GT and pick n pull has a 97 GTP that I'm going to salvage from. Just read the entire discussion and can't wait to get started. Thanks again everybody.
