Thanks for the reply. what rotor is used? i just want to gather the parts i need so that the last thing needed would be the bracket. Any other modifications needed besides the bracket?
It is a stock cts-v rotor that needs to re-machined.. open up the hub a little cause cts-v is like 60something mm and ours are 70.3mm.. also re-drill for the 5x114.3 bolt pattern... 04-07 CTS-V is a 6x115 pattern and 08+ is a 5x120 pattern....So this rotor will be the only option really bc it has the proper offest, rotor thickness, and hat depth. We tried many rotors, trust me lol i have like 4 different ones sitting here bc of trial and error lol almost made the srt8 rotor work but the hat depth was off a little

Still seems like the GXP rotor would be the best bet since the hat on the CTS-V rotor is too big to use the parking brake shoes unless we use CTS-V parking brake shoes so we have a functional parking brake. The CTS-V rotor is more shallow than the GXP so that may be why the CTS-V rotor was used, so the bracket wouldnt have to be offset too much - sound about right?
Well yes and no.. the problem with that is that the gxp rotor is 12" ..where as the cts-v is 365mm(14.37").. you would then have to offset the caliper mounting holes like an inch or two back towards the hub in order to mount the smaller size rotor... the whole purpose is to run the 4pot calipers with the 14" rotor in order to have that clamping area to compliment the clamping forcd of the calipers. But as for the parking brake goes.. yes i believe Lecram came up with a solution for that, however i was not focused on it like he was bc i would not be running a parking brake anyway. I believe he utilized the stock cts-v parking brake shoes with the our stock ebrake setup..i believe the shoes just connected to the normal gp ebrake hub setup... but dont hold me to that solution we only talked about it breifly bc like i said i wasnt really focused on finding an ebrake setup.
No not yet, last i had heard he was having his buddy make another set but he was super busy with work and the holidays

Well hopefully soon would be great to get the rears done for racing time.
quick question though did he ever have any issues with the setup? Brakes didn't lock up on him or anything?
Anyways thanks for the help man keep us updated on when you get the brackets some of us will be patiently waiting.
He said it is running great... especially after he did the rear he said that it tightened up the whole brake system. Something was missing with the fronts only.. i agree with him, under hard braking the front nose dives alot, he said that it really levels out once you do the rears and the front doesnt dive as much... i will keep you guys posted once he hits me up..i will prob refer you guys to him cause im sure he is going to want to sell the brackets after all hes put alot of time and money into figuring out the setup lol

Haha awesome man I can't wait to install all 4. As far as rotors go does brand really matter honestly? I know they have some decent sets on ebay.
Ya you def dont want to buy that chinese crap.. i would get Centric or stock cts rotors, ive got some from Brakeperformance they custom make theirs i really like them and ive had them over a year now ... now some people like Drunkie will say stay away from drilled and slotted rotors, but i have been running them for a while and havent had any warpage.. but if you by cheap rotors you could most certainly get warpage. Its up to you really, drilled and slotted kinda are only for looks if your not autocrossing or racing really lol they dont get hot enough during normal driving to really matter lol

DEZEBE1 just got his finished and I will be posting pictures as soon as he sends them to me. If anyone is interested I believe he will be having a couple of brackets made so others may enjoy the same upgrade. Anyone can contact him for more info.

I would never, ever install CTS-V brakes in the rear. Number 1, it's not really needed. 80% of your stopping power comes from up front. Number 2, you're adding a ton of weight that normally wouldn't be there. That is un-sprung weight too, which is even worse.

back brakes used to out last the fronts by a 100,000 miles. not any more, the backs wear just as fast as the fronts. "A LOT" of back brake has been added to newer cars.
hell in my last truck the backs wore out before the fronts every time. 03 gmc 2500HD and that goes for the factory pads it came with too.
my regal has the f body up grade with stock rear calipers, they all wear at the same rate still. just changed pads a few months back. all worn evenly.
so will better back brakes be better? hell yes they will.
the bigger question is, is it really worth it? your wallet can decide for you. everyone who has done it seems to love it.
only problem is you need larger wheels, one more cost to add. then the parts are not really cheap, and then theres the fab work needed for the brackets in this case.

Yeah I will probably just get them slotted to add some look definitely wanna show these bad boys off lol how much did they end up costing you? I feel I will be spending more one these rotors then I did on my 4 calipers Lol

Unless you get the rears for cheap. Then just rotors and bracket and pads and ss lines, and we'll yeah lol
