Subway's GT: Time to close my legs, it smells everywhere

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

Like that's a smart financial decision for a high school graduate...
Might not be all that dumb if it's feasible. That's what I'm doing, putting away money and building up a little credit. Once I have enough I'm gonna find a low-mileage WS6, try to get it financed through the dealer, and build my credit up even more while paying for something I'll enjoy. That being said, that's still gonna cost more than any 4T65E would

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

I went threw 2 transmissions, $500 for each one, and when this car rots out I'll buy another 3800 car.they are cheap and I know what breaks and how to prevent it now(shift kit, trans cooler and keeping the fluid fresh).
When I was searching I was also looking buying a Maxima, found out they also have weak transmissions but cost way more to fix or replace, so came running back to the 3800 lol

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

In before he buys a civic.....and says no tranny problems because it doesn't make enough hp.

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

When he says foreign is he talking about VW, or made in mexico?

I bought a mazda 3 brand new, ran synthetic entire time, did everything on time, motor blew at 75k

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

Nope, switching to foreign this time.

Would you drive a Pontiac if you lived in Japan? I'm not here to give you grief but my first W-GP didn't have working air and had a bad trans. My advice is just fix it too. Or go at this whole learning about transportation thing from the right end and get something old enough to be simple and pre-emission controls. Since you don't drive much. Ugly long bed trucks are cheap for example. Much more forgiving and rewarding and will teach basics well as an ongoing and driven project. If you're up for it.

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

Appreciate the insight, but my friend is gonna buy it for $1000 and I already found a 1 owner car with all maintenance records for my price range.

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

I probably wouldn't fill that blank in yet either lol. Its nobody's business.

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

No, but we're still interested. Lol I don't know of anyone who wants Jared to just disappear once he gets another car...

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

I'm gonna giggle to myself when he says a Nissan, or a Mitsubishi and then has to change a timing belt :)

Nope, timing belt and clutch were already done on the car. You'll see what it is soon, I'm gonna buy it before Friday.

It is not that easy to get financing for a 14+ year old car btw.

I'm aware. Some dealers can finance used cars, that's currently my plan/hope. I know I couldn't get a loan through a bank easily. We'll have to see, im not quite there yet lol.
