Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

Think of what a $500 trans would do or even a rebuild...

i mean , every automatic transmission at some point is going to need a rebuild.
Every standard trasmission is going to need a clutch replacement at some point

Re: Subway's GT: Time to say goodbye...

You act like timing belts are so difficult...

Exactly. Try doing a timing chain. At least with the belt it was meant to be changed.

Nope, timing belt and clutch were already done on the car. You'll see what it is soon, I'm gonna buy it before Friday.

Just so you know, you can grenade a manual transmission too.

Lol, if the tranny died under only 195 horespower, think of what 250 would do.

I got a Jasper reman for $500 and it really wasn't that bad to put in the car.

That why I was harassing you before about adding horsepower to a dieing transmission, then the trans does die and you sell everything including the car lol.
If you can't afford to do big repairs you shouldn't mod.

Exactly, I replaced the clutch on my last manual transmission car then A few months later I blew the whole thing up lol.

The car I want to buy, clutch and timing belt were already replaced. 1 owner since 2002, kept all service records.

I was gonna mod the car, bandaid the transmission for a year and then replace it. I would have more money by then as that's when I plan to start my internship for college. But it died on me too soon to fix it.
