regal top swapped problems



not sure about the difference for a ls or a gs. or if theres a difference.

best bet is to go to rock auto and cross reference the part #'s. if they match. its all good.


you can buy just the pump part for like 30 buck off ebay. and swap that part in the canister. much cheaper that way if you want a new pump in there.
 
okay because i looked on oreilly and they have different part numbers between a 97 gs and a 98 gs. the whole pump assembly has a different part number so i didnt know if i could use a 98 and newer gs or ls because for some reason 97.5 is a stupid year
 


Though it doesnt make it stumble, we turned the car off made a puddoe of car cleaner around the injector and we started it, it sucked the puddle right into the heads so i need a fuel rail because this one is bent.
 


did you lube the o rings before installing them? if not that one may be damaged. or its just the bent rail/

hell if you dont have the new rail yet clean that injector up real good, then try a small bead of rtv, let it set over night see how it runs sealed off. that should seal off the vac leak. temporally at least.
 
Bought and installed the new rail fixed my starting issue and my idle issue, but the stutter stayed the same. So im guessing pump or cam? Those are the last 2 things i have left
 
On the goodies list i finally got a guage cluster with the dic but have to replace the resistors on it. Got me the center hub caps for my chrome hub caps lol csnt afford rims atm. Got a new fuel rail and injectors, got some really good pliars that we found at the junk yard. So over all a good day, but heres whats happening thats leaning me toward tranny. When i floor it regardless of speed. The car will take a sec or 2 like a pause down shift. But the rpms rev and then it catches and takes off and as you speed up thats when the car stutters and tried to get to the point to shift and when it does it shifts hard. And then as you continue to floor it, it will pull hard but sometimes the needle well drops like the stutter. Idk what i could be, all i know is flooring it cause the car to stutter. I should as well add that it doesnt shift at red line like it should which is just above 6k rpms. Instead it shifts at 5500 rpms when floored or sometimes it will red line like supposed to but it will stutter to hell trying to get there and if you continue to hold the gas when the car stutters it will stutter at redline for a sec and then shift.
 
Oh im sorry totally spaced it, where do you want the pictures specifically? Like can you give me a few areas so that way i can make sure i get what you want lol.
 


My car gets to 240 degrees with the ac on when driving around, but the temp goes down in park, with out the ac it stays at 190.4 but it does make my car hesitate more often like i said previously before.
I literally have 2 parts left i can replace which is my fuel pump and my cam position sensor, after that i literally have 0 to replace,

Of every single thing that you touched during the swap. Overload us with pictures and likely we will find a few more things like that misrouted vacuum line.
