regal top swapped problems



Ok. You see the 3.2 - 4.2* of knock when at WOT, the entire time at WOT? Were any conditions different this time, such as the car being at temp this time?

What I'm getting at is if the car is cold and you do a WOT pull you might see 0* of knock because the knock sensors don't turn on until the computer knows the car is a certain temp unless they are tuned to always read. I don't remember the temp, Scotty or Bill may know though
 
Yes it was running at 190.4 degrees, so it was my normal operating temp. And when at wot because of that stutter it fluctuates between those degrees
 


So i plan on taking off everything down to the supercharger. I will take more pictures when im down that far and ill see if i can find anything weird.
 
take the belts off, run the car for a minute, you'll know if the sound is gone.

seen ac compressors lock up the engine. like it froze that good person thought the engine seized up.
 
When i took everything off i found that the t under the snout was tore, and injector o ring was ripped, and i replaced the plugs with ac delcos, removed the throttle body and cleaned it. Tightened a loose bolt on the charger, i took those metal things off the plugs. I cleaned all my injectors with carb cleaner and let them dry, got a pack of injector orings and replaced them. Radiator flushed my radiator.... and poof its gone. I have zero hesitation, no bog at idle, no sounds, starts quicker. And i had my mechanic friend that helped me drive it and check it and nothing, i may not be in the clear give me a few days to drive around, i cleaned up my mess of wires and vac lines repainted the charger black. Ill give and update if i feel any difference.

they've been up and down. most of the time when in stock they ship for 217. thats not to bad tho.

BTW, FWIW that fuel/evap line touching the EGR is going to solve your problems for you with an engine fire. Some of us would appreciate it if you would take the plastic line containing the flammable vapor off the hot Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve.
