Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

New MazdaSpeed3

Re: Gins 04 Comp G 5 speed?

not 6 days ago i was set up the same way. lol only my damn hoist failed to make it to the middle of the engine, so i had to drill a new hole in the boom arm to make it longer. lol

Re: Gins 04 Comp G 5 speed?

Its not that bad, waiting for fluids to drain is what takes the longest. I only spent about 3-4 hours and had lunch in between.

Gins 04 Comp G 5 speed?

I use to work on it before work but now that's it's in the 90s I just can't do it.. That much heat just usually frustrates me easily and I end up getting pissed off when things don't go like they should especially when time is critical. Of course now I work early morning so tht eliminates me doing anything before work.

Today was nice, maby high 70s-80s with a decent breeze. Also I got pretty good shade around me.

Re: Gins 04 Comp G 5 speed?

Finished the bracket before i had to go to work again. Sucks i couldnt get time off cus we are short staffed atm. if i did i would of been done in 2 full days. But 3 days isnt bad concidering everyone ive seen do this has taken weeks. Motor will def be in in the morning, then its just a few wiring things to take care of and flash the bin. Gonna have to screw around with the vss settings but that shouldnt be to bad. hoping to have car driving by monday afternoon the latest.

Welds arnt to bad concidering i taught myself in a couple hours off youtube lol

Re: Gins 04 Comp G 5 speed?

I would check that bracket after a few hundred miles, doesn't look like much penetration in the welds.

I didn't have to touch my vss in the tune.

I beat it a few times with a hammer, the penitration is there. Didn't you get a mail order tune? I tuned mine myself, vss might be close or it might not, we will see.

Re: Gins 04 Comp G 5 speed?

No, no mail order tune. Ran it without touching the stock tune for a few hundred miles. Threw lots of codes but speedo was dead on.

Re: Gins 04 Comp G 5 speed?

ENGINE AND TRANS ARE IN

Shifter assembly is done aswell, its not as easy as bolting in on the 04+ because the shifter is offset so I had to make yet another custom bracket so it would fit properly and drill a different hole in the assembly. Drilled a hole in the firewall and ran cables aswell. Only thing left tomarrow is the trans mount cus its resting on a brick atm but that wont take more than an hour and then just waiting for the poly to dry overnight. Then its just wiring and shes done.
