Re: 2005 impala and life
No on Saturday overkill told me to meet Monday so I tried Sunday and Monday to get a hold of him but he left me stranded. ... with the thermostat and the fan settings where they are it heats up to 185 degrees.
I wanted a warmer thermostat so the car would give more heat in the winter for my newborn son.
Rockers are completely rusted out on the car and bubbles on the rear fenders... honestly starting to feel like a battle and I'm slowly losing..
I will add a half liter of Lucas, drove the car all day today in city and didn't slip at all so wonder if it's back to banging into gear rarely. .. i can hope lol.Meet up with Overkill? He come back from B.C.?
Pete, you should've added a bottle or two of Lucas with that trans filter/fluid swap. It's a friction modifier and should help with the slip for now. Trans cooler would also help with that...changing you're tstat right now may not be such a good idea seeing you want to keep the tranny fluid thats running through that rad cooler.
Thats a soild car you've got, I would swap in a new trans in the spring and beat it some more!
