Vet STFU you have never built your engine or tuned your engine, but yet you are trying others how to do theirs, once you have experience then you can talk untill quit ruining this thread. I am actually interested in this and it is impossible to read with your *****ing every other post.

:) thanks might as well get this locked if you wanna turn it into a pissing match.

Too many inexperienced people think that they can armchair QB these awesome setups. In reality your car is probably going to make less than expected and you'll get drug by a non-intercooled, stock head, baby cam, 93 octane pump gas Regal with a smaller roots blower ;)

Well see when its done never said it wont work just that the money invested is going to be high for the results. Good luck and hope you get some dyno and track vids up like the gen5 setup.

If the damn regal didnt burn down Id be much farther along with this damn build of mine. Money went to just replacing the car that was supposed to be for engine build. pics of it just becasue.

I still dont get why you're saying "For the money" it isn't a good idea. Two years ago the average GenV swap was in the ballpark of what I'm going to spend. I'm going to have a car that maintains all the stock driveablility and retains the same style power source.

You're acting as if I'm blowing $4000 on this blower swap. In reality it's going to end up costing what it woulda cost to intercool the GenV, and the uniqueness factor is 10x more appealing to me.

I guess this will be somewhat similar to what you're looking to do. It looks like a company can get you these things for decent convenience/money. I think you're going for the smaller SC, though? So, that might put you in a better spot than this guy. Anyway, if you haven't seen this before, I hope it helps.

Very interesting swap with the 1900... but yeah I'm going with a smaller blower that was engineered to fit Cobalts so an adapter plate like that is out of the question. I'm going with the one from the Cobalts because I can pick up a used TVS for pretty cheap... the new ones are expensive... especially the 1900.

Forgive me if this has been answered already (Theres too much naysaying to read through all the previous pages lol) But have you thought about just eliminating the BBV? I have no clue what would be involved in that but if its a feasible route to go just to get this puppy moving forward... Definitely looking forward to seeing you get it on the dyno. Good luck

Yeah, Bonne, Park Ave, Riv all had the S1 with an M62. But there might be a different bolt pattern etc. Like the M90 that Ford used was very different than our M90.

The M62 for the Cobalt is very different than the M62 for the Series 1 motor... anyway after reading the TVS1900 swap I have concluded that blower is way too big for anything less than a fully built aluminum heads forged bottom end stroker motor. That guy was seeing 26lbs of boost on a 3 inch pulley lol

yes but whats easier cheaper to find the tvs 1900 is on a ton of cars and a ton of aftermarket kits use them finding one used cant be hard, on the other hand I dont know of anyone else using the tvs 1320 other than the ecotech guys.
