M62 Swap...

You're not trying to hate but you're telling me I can't tune because my actual AFR's (wideband readings) are different from commanded AFR's. This is a naturally occurring phenomena and is not at all indicative of a bad tune.

Then you say I have a bad tune because I posted a scan of a 1 time flash for an all out run at the track. I turned the timing up from 18 to 20 and ended up getting 3 degrees of knock. If you knew anything about tuning you would know that the knock doubles from what you can actually run, which is why I was fine on 18 degrees. Since then I've played with it and settled in around 16-17.5.

You're also saying I NEED 42lbers... but my AFR's never go lean... they are planted right around 11.2 where I set them. The car isn't running out of fuel. While bigger injectors may help out a tiny bit to get that fuel in quicker, I doubt I'd see any real gain.

Just get the TVS done so I can say told you so when it doesnt make more than 40-50 more HP than your gen5........
 
The TVS has been done before, in AU and here.

Gains have been very impressive.

Way more impressive than a GenV.

As for cost, used tvs's alone are 1500 to 2k+ plus a custom adaptor plate LS TB Alt relocation ect.

Slow are you bored of good ol CGP?

I'd say that's not a pic of when it was running. The bag over the air filter and not yet hooked up TB cables etc. Probably one of the mid build pics. Oh..and he's kinda missing plug wires too.
 
That's a TVS1900 (might even be the 2300)... wayyy bigger than a TVS1320. The 1320 shouldn't have issues with the alternator since it's overall size its smaller than the GenV.

That must be radically built stroker motor or something to take advantage of the 1900.

LOL not everyone gives a damn about effeciency like you. Bigger SC tune real injectors and go fast.
 
Yep Im still sleeping lol Im still not convinced why this is wayyyyyy better than a Gen5 lol.

Vet, start to be convinced.

The TVS is much better than an M90 on two levels.

The outlet temps will be lower, and the required crank power will be much lower, for the same amount of work.

Also, its unique.

I was only getting frustrated back at the start because 'twas still under the impression an M62 was was being used.

So I say happy modding to the OP.
 
An intercooled 1900 on your motor would actually be worth it! Easilly 100whp more than the GenV.

100 More HP than a Gen5 where are you hiding the drugs becasue your high!

Just get your TVS 1320 done and we'll see still doubt its gonna make 40-50 more HP over the Gen5, Ive said a billion times for the money other mods would yeild better results its going to be different no doubt congrats now get it done........
