JDrach's 98 Daytona - Snappin chains 4 days

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

The fact the center is suede and the rest is leather is the best of both worlds.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

Preach!! No sliding around, and the suede stays cooler and doesn't get hot or cold like the leather would.

Really? Hmmmm I guess some GXP seats are in order then.... Where is a good source to find stuff?

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

Just noticed my car is running low oil pressure. Around 10 at cruise and nearly 0 at idle. Could low oil do this

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

yes it can.

i used to be able to tell when i was quart low by looking at my o/p gauge.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

Ya added 4 qts in over the past two days and still low pressure. Maybe its the oil pump. Either way the cars running like ****. Was only able to keep up with a buddy in a base model 07 impala...ha!

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

If you have 10 PSI of oil pressure, the last thing I would be doing is driving, let alone racing it. You probably already ****ed up a bearing or two....

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

I mean the cars been running slow for ever, but just the other day i noticed the low oil pressure. Was just seeing if it was the low oil. No major leaks from what I can see.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

Low oil or not when your oil pressure is that low you shouldn't be driving the car until you know why.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

Exactly, going to hitch a ride and have someone take a look at it.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

Change the oil and look for flakes, if you have glitter, you are screwed...

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

you can drain the oil through a coffee filter if you can rig one up. rag works too.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

Driving for two or more days like this, thought I would've heard the damage by now...

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

Changed the oil....couldn't see anything abnormal other than what seemed like a small mix of far old.oil and the new oil I dumped in days earlier.. and some debris of wood shavings or something.from the catch pan laying in the garage and crap. Put my finer in it several times and the filter and nothing unusual from what I could tell....maybe the gauge just sucks lol. Did take a while for it give me a reading, like 5 seconds or so. Cold start was at like 25 to 18 or something idr. During colder weather it was around 60 and crap then around 40 or 30 once warmed up...

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- Mmmm Pregens

The best way to detect clitter glitter is to look at it in sunlight and look for golden swirls when you drag yer finger through the surface
