JDrach's 98 Daytona - Snappin chains 4 days

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Either way I know it's coming from the exhaust manifold. Seafoam will help on the exact location. But, idk how I will go about takin it off and putting it back on if they were near impossible to put on. God forbid something breaks lol

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

This may sound stupid, but are the gaskets suppose to be visible while the header is bolted in? Or does the whole surface of the header cover the gasket when bolted in, because the mechanic at my work kept saying he doesn't see it and say there may not be one.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

I have speed daddy's. And alright wasn't sure, I really want this rattle leak sound to go away, so I guess I'll check the bolts. Should i just simple loosen them all up on the front manifold first, then re tighten them? Or do i have to do it by other means?

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Tightened the front manifold bolts and bent the bracket on the oil dipstick that was touching a bolt on the front header. Not sure which of those was causing that rattle, but I'm 99% its gone. So now I can actually enjoy my exhaust without hearing it. Too bad my ears took a crap on me again (been having tubes inserted in the drums every year for past 5 years) and they fell out. Good thing is the left the perferated hole in the drum, bad news is my left one is very small so it's causing problems again. Gotta wait 6 months to consider re doing the tubes, so now I live in discomfort daily, everything is echo'd and loud, i can hear my heart beat and every thud or shudder is super loud ( like having super hearing, just not enjoyable). Driving my car feels like i'm running straight piped, it sucks now. Although it sounds the same to my GF, so it's just me and my damn ear problems.

Anywho, I got bored and did dis :P

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona
