JDrach's 98 Daytona - Snappin chains 4 days

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

No it sounds like its going from the front manifold on the side next to the coil packs. Unsure of bad gasket or if its something in the valve cover like a bad spring or lifter.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

VS cam shipped back to ZZP. Exchanging for an XP. And people say ZZP is the worst :th_shakinghead1:

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

you might have anwered this before in the thread but what kind of mufflers do you got on this baby?

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

And my magnaflow/SC whine that makes my ears bleed in agony. I'm starting to night like the car more and more.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Yup, that's that noise that I've been talking bout since my headers have been in. It's annoying. Coming from the front exhaust manifold .

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Anyone else thinks the acceleration seems slowish fr my mods? Idk if its just me and I ggot use to it or what.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

If there is an exhaust leak before the 02 it'll throw stuff out of wack and make you slower.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Make's sense. I really wanna take the front exhaust manifold off, but with the SD fitment, i'm afraid of breaking something or not getting it back together because I was told it was a living nightmare.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Well asked a mechanic at work for his opinion and he said it sounded like an exhaust leak in the headers. Either said its prolly a bad gasket or no gasket at all since he couldn't see it lol. We used a stethoscope with a tube at the end an compared te sounds on top of the valve cover and then up against the front manifold and wow you could really hear it up against the manifold. Guess ill try n loosen up the bolts a little n re tighten them. Would this make it possible for them to slip out of place, causing it ttone difficult to re align and bolt on again without disconnecting it from the cross over?

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

I've heard mixed reactions with running seafoam. Where exactly would I put it to get it to run through the exhaust manifolds?
