Oh I'm with big scott. This is just a good example for you. These values I posted worked great on mine with stock maf settings. Never touched my fueling via maf once I got my ifr dialed in.i suggest just doing your math toss the new values in, then drive it and let the trims learn, then make adjustments as needed to get the trims in line.
im running the stock maf file for my car, and got the 42's just about dialed in, you know how slow trims are to learn when you dont drive it no where, so its taking a while.
i tried other peoples values for 42's and they were not even close for my car, one was pig rich, the next lean as hell, then i got my sweet spot narrowed down after doing what i suggested.
I've wondered about this too but in the end just accepted and dealt with it. I moved through the stages from anger to denial to acceptance in record time.See that's what I am hearing too is earlier years some guys do it in the IFR table and others swear by the Skew method. I am beginning to think that it doesn't work on some years. I haven't really noticed if the pre 04 cars have that Alternate IFR table or not. That thing confuses the crap out of me. It shows the same information as the IFR table but the values are swapped. Instead of having the highest flow at -50 kPa it's at 100kPa. I am still super confused as to why pre 04 cars show a IFR that is 0-100kPa and 04+ has -50-100 table. To me is should start at 0 and go to 150-160 kPa if anything. The pre 04 cars all have a rising rate FPR and so the net pressure above 101.3 kPa will be maintained so if you are running 10 psi of boost then your Net fuel pressure will be the same. Let's say its 55psi at 101.3 kPa with 10 psi (about 200 kPa) boost the net pressure will still be 55psi even though the gauge pressure is 65 psi. Basically the fuel flow remains the same while under boost. On the 04+ cars your fuel pressure is 65psi so at 10 psi boost the net fuel pressure is now 55psi so the flow will be lower.
05 got a different bin for sure. some things are just not the same, as long as it runs well and your happy, let it slide. leave it to the gods and trust it works as it should.
Case in point, I can't find a tunable 05 bin either. Using the bin that I pulled of the 04 gtp pcm I pulled from the junkyard.
