• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Danielle's 99 GT :)

Thanks guys!
I think the grain bin shots turned out really good. Maybe ill play around some more later to get better shots.

And i was going to go to Napa during lunch to see if they had the security torx and get some maf cleaner. So we'll see what happens.

BTW, since you use PhotoBucket and all, it has a picture editor built in, just select the picture and you can change the look. Take a couple of shots you really like and play with the editor and you can make them really pop!

If your car wasn't white I would suggest doing a black & white backdrop with the car in color, but you wouldn't notice anything :p

Played around with the grain bin shot a little....

Now that the grass is crazy green and I have tire shine again, I should try and duplicate it.

1 teeny tiny suggestion for this re-do. It may require a few things, but you will need a tri-pod or something with which to set the camera, a bikini, and someone to snap you on the hood or a timer on the camera and well you get the idea here

I got the pics of her in a bikini under the car cleaning it when she did the degreasing project. Doesn't require meeting her in person....you must have to be "someone".

Sorry guys...likely you'll never get the pics you want.

really bill? Damn, i wanted to see that gain silo again with a HOT car in front of it :D

makes a sweet pic.. shame car is E85, would bring a whole new meaning to "Corn fed"

I really don't care if she gets in a bikini and takes hot pics or if she just takes great pics of the car. I just like giving her a hard time because she's one of the few active female members and she doesn't go crazy when I do.

Haha. You guys iz funny.
If it would stop raining, I could take some better pics. But now the grass is to wet to drive on and car is filthy.

I just started reading this thread and I do like your car. The reason is not a lot of engine mods, more visual to me is worth more. But then again I drive a cheap 97 se, so just keeping it running and looking decent is key.

Anyway, I was really wondering about the debadge. Is it safe to do this on an old car like mine that is over 15 yrs old? Will it leave marks of faded or chipped paint behind?

I had no side effects from removing mine. After i got the glue off, I washed it really good and put a few layers of wax on. You'll be fine, just take your time. I used a rubber wheel eraser on a drill and it made the glue come off super easy. Idk if the white hides better, maybe on a darker color it would show a little but maybe one of those things that you would really have to know where to look.
I will be doing a black car this weekend, but its only 7 yrs old so ill see about fade marks on it.
I also took the pin stripes off, those I can still see if I look for them. But I haven't really polished the lines yet to blend it in.

I think white hides it.. I debadged my 12 year old Regal and you can't tell. Of course I cheated and used brake cleaner on the glue.

D.. car and driver are filthy. Go give that car a bath.

I will consider doing this, let me know about the fade marks. Before I was on this forum I never thought about doing it, but it sounds like a ton of people do and for good reason. Thanks!

It made it a lot cleaner looking I thought by removing them.

And Bill, car is horrible. At least I look clean and just stink. The car both stinks and looks filthy. And I'm going to make it sit in the drive and watch me detail the G6 this weekend. I'm so mean. At least I finally put gas in it the other day after milking the low fuel light as much as I could.

LOL, I need to give mine some fuel today. As for filthy.. well you know all that rain you sent me.. yeah. Stinks..well the interior kinda smelled like a Monster drink the other day.

Good luck on the black car, When I bought my Miata (many moons ago) it was black with a tan soft top and had several emblems on it that I took off the back, the dealer tag was the only one I couldn't get to hide away, but it was a big sticker in the shape of a sail boat. Sucked but I tried and tried and buffed and buffed and never could get it to blend. The other emblems hid well but the black was just faded enough it showed a ghost ship on the rear deck lid. Car was only 4 yrs old when I bought it. Hopefully you have better luck than I did, but be prepared, black fades well and if the sticker has been on for a long time you may not get it to hide like you did on your car.

The gold paint on your 97 will likely not have faded enough to notice, but it is possible. My silvermist shows no signs on any of the emblems I took off. Try it and hope for the best.
