Chef's "KILLER" Twin Ladies

Re: Chef's "KILLER" L36

Dunno if it's worth it. I did a pan drop in Nov. and added a bottle of Lucas at the time. This is probably a ticking time bomb...

Re: Chef's "KILLER" L36

checked the trans. fluid again this morning. Fluid still looks red and didn't see any black 'soot" mixed in. Ran good cold then started slipping at the end of my commute. wondewring if the trans. fluid is getting too hot.

Re: Chef's "KILLER" L36

So thanks to yet another GPF guru, my trans. problems will hopefully be solved this June. Just gotta hold her together 'till then. Then I can upgrade my signature to include a "BadAss" 4T65 :D
but onto my next questions; I scanned my car today for about a 30 min. drive (including street, highway, and cruise). I was seeing LTFTs btwn 5 and 11. STFTs only went into negative numbers at 10+ LTFT. At 3/4 throttle, I saw 5* KR. Opinions anyone?

Re: Chef's "KILLER" L36

People have fixed slipping and banging into gear with the addition of a shift kit + external trans cooler. Food for thought.

Re: Chef's "KILLER" L36

Is there any danger in driving highway speeds with the trans. in 3 instead of D? I was driving around town yesterday in 3 and aside from the increase in RPMs she ran really nice. No bang shifts at all.

Re: Chef's "KILLER" L36

SO I pulled the UIM off today and found this....

looks like the coolant plugs are leaking. Agree?

Re: Chef's "KILLER" L36

At this point I'm saving my money for a new/rebuilt transmission and gathering parts for my engine build. Can't justify that much money for a new piece of plastic :)
