Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Are the compg gtp's faster than the non compg gtp's?

in theory, yes because of the gearing but not sure how much difference it is. motor wise, like stated above exact same thing.

eh, im not sure they are any faster. might be. but, theyve got those cool paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

God I hate 4t65's hd or not.... as far as GM fwd trans seems like they suck. Why can't they make them more like the old school stuff like th350's or th400's. Oh well by the way I would assume that the comp g is def faster, but probably suffers from slightly worse gas mileage than other GP's.

Only just noticed they BOTH move in the same direction for the same function... not pull the left for downshift and right for up...

haha yeah that's how all paddle shifters work except the ones on the video games. my dad's 2010 taurus has paddle shifters that work well, but it also is a 6spd

Before I got my tune, I actually used the paddles quite a bit. When coming out of curves it helps tremendously to downshift before you get back on the throttle. After I changed my shift points it really eliminated the need for this because I don't have to get so deep in the throttle to downshift. So bottom line, the paddles are okay if you have a stock PCM but useless if you have a decent tune job. I haven't had any slipping prolems with mine.... yet.

Once you're tuned, the only use for the paddles is to downshift when there's deer in the road if you've got the coordination to slam in to tapshift and tap down. But I suspect that most people would rather have nice brakes. Or, I guess, if you wanted to launch the car in second.

97-03 styled SLP cars had options of...

SLP Ram Air CAI
SLP Catback
SLP 3.5" Pulley
SLP 1.80:1 Roller Rockers
SLP Tuned PCM

Other than that...nothing after '04 had stuff like that.
