2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE (LOTS OF PICTURES)

Re: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Modfest

I did a GP on my front grille before using a set of SE chrome badges and ran it for awhile.

Re: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Modfest

Afraid not its a 7.3 Powerstroke: Cold Air Intake, 6 postion Tuner, Turbo upgrade, Injector upgrade, 6 inch exhaust. I not actually had it on a Dyno but thats should be a fair estimate. Its not bad for a old truck.

7.3 ftw! Love that and the old 12valve cummins. Never was a 7.3 idi fan

Re: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Modfest

Today my overlays came in the mail from Reflective Concepts. So it gave me a little bit to do today while waiting on the hood to be shipped. I took the badging from a junk door, and made this grill badge. Right now it’s temporarily sitting where I think I want it. What do you folks think?

Re: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Modfest

I just checkthe tracking number for the shipping company thats transporting my hood. It’s on its wayto Dallas tonight and should be in San Antonio by lunch tomorrow. So off came the stock hood.Im really looking forward to seeing this new hood. With a bit of luck ill have it in the shop to be installed.

Re: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Modfest

ok got to ask a few questions.
1 can i get my hands on a superchared 3.8 and should it bolt right in the car?
2 Is it posible to add a HUD on this car?

i would look at car-part.com for the engine and for the hud it all depends on who you ask. me personally if you didnt have a HUD then dont bother. but i know it can be installed if you want to get your hands dirty and cut a few wires (Cough cough billboost)

Re: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Modfest

Today the new hood arrived to the shop. I took the car there and while driving a got a ton of strange looks as I drove with no hood on the car. Got to admit not the best look I have seen. At any rate the hood can and I was very much pleased to the overall build of the hood. It needs a bit of trimming but the first fit was better than I expected. Here are a couple of shots. What do you all think?

Get that and all the wiring and the pcm and the Trans and stuff I think it should go right in. And also billboost did a write up on the hud I believe

Re: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Modfest

It needs trimming where it bolts on. most (98%) fits great it was just at the trailing edge that was a bit to big. nothing a little sanding cant take care of. Ill have more pics when it comes out of the shop. the guys at the shop think it looks great. They never seen anything like this on this body style of GP

Re: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE Modfest

Oh that's not bad. Glad to hear that the quality is good for those stinger hoods. I have an actual MPD F1 so I had no issues with fitment. Looking forward to your finished photos.
