Re: 1997 Black GTP, Back To An Ugly Snowplow.

Just finished up working on another Gen V. Was sold even before I finished the paint. I let it go for a cheap price. $250 - Had about $170 into it.

Before:

Then spent a few hours with a wire wheel on my drill/dremel cleaning it up pretty good, then started to paint it. Also put in a new PCV Valve as well.

After:

Came out just alright. If I was going to ask $350+ for it, like usually every does without paint. I would of done a little better.

And for those of you who wonder if the mud flaps works:

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Back To An Ugly Snowplow.

Mud flaps are the ****, mine nearly dragged on the ground after I lower the car. Hitting bigger dips and they would.

Always stopped snow build up under the car. I even have flaps on my truck, love them in the snow.

This is my first year with them.

Not good for the aesthetics of the car, but who cares in the winter. They work awesome. Best $30 spent in a long time.

Yup.

I'll just leave this here.

It's official, 18x9 chrome Mustang Saleen rims have been purchased. Little sooner than I expected, BUT I had the money saved up plus they were offering some money off on Black Friday, so I pulled the trigger since the Promo code only lasted one day. Saved $25 only (since they weren't on sale for Black Friday, but they were offering a $25 off coupon code for anything not on the clearance list). It's not much money saved, but $25 is still something. That extra money saved can go to a good package of diapers.

Time to start saving for some tires, 2 front KYB struts/mounts. Have $125 already saved up for that funding. So it's a start.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Rims Have Been Purchased.

Went with the 18s rather than 19s, just for the fact of price difference. Will need to be lowered right away. Kinda why I bought the rims so early in winter so I can focus on saving for some front struts and mounts.

Free is free. So i'll take what I can get! Can't be greedy.

If bio sees the "r" word his head will spin ........

What is this "r" word you speak of? Rims? lol

He's been helping me decide with these Saleen rims. He answered a few questions I had.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Rims Have Been Purchased.

I feel as if it should be the opposite.

Nick loves anything to do with Rims and Low.

Since I purchased rims, he should be happy with me.
