Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

That's the evap spot. Just use rtv instead of a blower gasket. Use rtv on the adapter as well.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

RTV will seal everything just fine, and it's easier to remove than a paper gasket.

I personally run the Gen V evap, sensor was like $7 and your connections are right there, so why not? But yeah, it'll draw vacuum so block it with the Intake EGR blockoff plate (or just make your own) Non-threaded since the blower has a threaded hole for it.

I dont have an EGR or EVAP currently. And all the codes have been deleted. I just went and bought two Intake EGR block-off plates today, so Im just going to block it. Who needs an EVAP anyways? ;)

Just curious, if you know the bolt sizes needed to block of EGR on the Gen V LIM and the bolt needed to block off the EVAP on the back on the Gen V? If not, I'm sure i'll just "guess and check" - Elementary school taught me that technique.

The bolt on your l67 lim should fit... Also is you keep the bolt that was there to hook up the evap bs to the blower?

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

Got around to finishing the blower today. I'm no professional painter, but I believe it turned out pretty damn well for a garage job.

It's not perfect, has some imperfections but it still looks decent. I also painted the LIM too.

Went out and bought two EGR Intake Block-off plates. One for the EGR on the Gen V LIM and one for the EVAP on the back of the Gen V. Also snagged up some Blower oil. Still needing to replace that. I'll wait until install day for that. Few parts are still missing yet, I need the TB Adapter Plate (Have one coming in the mail - Brand New) and I just need oil for two oil changes and a bottle of coolant and Copper RTV. Other than that, I'm ready for the install.

Without further ado, here's my finished Gen V.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now With Gen V.

I do also need to clean the inlet of the Gen V, since that dirty as F*ck.

I do plan on buying some Modded fuel rails (W-Body store since they wrap around the blower and I'm too poor for Logs) so I can get rid of the stock fuel rails. I want my Gen V to be my center of attention and nothing covering it up.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Gen V Lookin' Purty.
