I love when ppl who know nothing about law enforcement, speak on how we should do our jobs.
Sent using my bionic thumbs from my sweet DROID Razr Maxx
We, as society, grant cops a certain amount of authority to make those calls, because we acknowledge that their job is difficult and dangerous
While I do agree with this, wholeheartedly. I think they should stand accountable for their actions when they abuse their powers of authority.
They need to follow to get ur plates but they dont need to keep doin it.
And im suprised nobody has brought up the idea of the hid reverse light mod for tailgaters! :th_laugh-lol3:
I'm a cop and love seeing these threads pop up on other forums I am a member on...:th_laugh-lol3:
Do you tailgate people?
Following someone for miles on end at a time? No. Making sure someone isn't hiding drugs, guns or drunk, yes. I read another post that once someone crosses into another jurisdiction the cop "can't do anything." Well, I'm here to tell you that's wrong. If I see a vehicle make a wrong turn, not use a signal, blow a stop sign or whatever the case may be, I can follow them to Seattle if I wanted to. All because the act of probable cause first occured in my jurisdiction. Yes, there are a lot of douchebag cops out there that give us all bad names. It ruins it for the rest of us. In my 6 years as being a cop, I have wrote only 12 tickets. All were for more than 15mph over. I am now with the drug and gang task force so, I don't see much traffic time...
