• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Just got car now knocking

Install headers after the engines in the car, just lay the rear header in place, the rest is done easily when the motors installed. Zzp sells extension, you'll throw a code for not running a cat that you'll need to deal with, connects to stock cat back just fine

Ok thanks for the information guys. Greatly appreciated. As soon as I get my heads back from the machine shop I can continue. Hopefully all the rain will be gone by then

I still wouldn't mess with headers if I were you. You are still going to need a tune to delete the cat code. There are so many cons to running headers, and little to no gains on a stock car. I've been modding these cars for ~13 years, and have never seen any proof that headers do a thing to help, other than leak. That statement is true, even on every 3800 car I've built.

lol have 2 sets of tog headers in my garage neither leaked. metal felpro manifold gaskets metal gasket where it meets catback and fresh hardware plus rtv on the crossover donuts works everytime.

whats sad is when people try reuse even the metal gaskets..... if you cant afford a 20 dollar set of felpro manifold gaskets and a small tube of red rtv step away from the vehicle with a wrench........

im 100% sure felpro manifold gaskets and small tube of rtv is less than 20 bucks i just got some today at vatozone......

ps if the dumbsh1ts say they dont have them for a supercharged car buy the na manifold gaskets and flip them over...... na and sc ones are the same.

Togs are the exception. They very rarely leak, and are the only header I would put on a daily driven car, unless I could find a S&S set.

I've never had a problem with any header leaking between the head and flange, when just reusing the factory gasket.

I was thinking about that since I was going to sell the car anyway. I didn't really want to deal with the headache of headers. I think olog should suffice

I don't know what I'm looking at. Maybe the headgasket didn't blow. Like I mentioned earlier, there was no overheating when I had the car. I pulled the heads and lower intake. Nothing indicated that they were compromised. I'm thinking maybe someone did a top swap and no tune

I was debating on just swapping the n/a engine in and calling it hood and get a gt pcm since the engine came with everything and the engine harness. If I were to go on ahead with the top swap, would I be ok with just a 4.0 pulley and plog? I do not want to modify the exhaust because I'm planning on selling the car.
