The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Oh also to answer the questions if im starting the 5 speed swap now. Im putting in a used trans from the jy i found with 112k on it for now cus i need to car moved in a couple weeks. Then ill be rebuilding the original. I want to do the 5 speed swap but at this point in time i now dont have the option to. I am currently moving a town over and my sister and brother in law was going to be moving down the street with a two bay garage where the swap was going to take place but things changed for them and are no longer moving. I have no place where i can have the car down for an extended period of time so the swap is on hold. Im not sure if im going to continue to collect parts and do the swap in the future or not. I have another 284 sitting not to far from me for cheap i was going to go get as a backup then purchase the clutch ect and do the build probly over the winter but now im unsure. So if anyone is interested in the swap its a good possibility with the right offer ill let it go.
stupid brackets that go on the subframe and cus i knew about the rust befor i started and planned on taking care of it. I just pulled the trans, im picking up the other on tues. Im kind of worried though granted the trans is warranteed by the jy, im scared fresh fluid might kill it with 112 on it and they wont be able to find another.
New fluid shouldn't kill it, I had 133k on my trans before its first fluid change and it never slipped or acted funny after. My dads had 150k before its first change and it never slipped just had RPMs go up and down in 4th and 3rd but that was why we changed the fluid thinking it was that.
