Lets see, Ford's suck yet they did not need a handout and are now owned by the government lol. Seriously tho I am a Ford guy, grew up with them. NO complaints about my GP love it, (did not really have much of a choice but a good one) There are a few Ford's I would not drive, just like there are a few GM's I would not drive, namely cavalier (used to have a 05) Now that being said GM is coming out with some impresive vehicles just like Ford is. Chrysler and company never had one, been in some and well, they all right I guess, they have good looking cars but not sure I would ever get one, cept the Challenger.

Just because I like GM vehicles, doesn't mean I agree with them getting bailed out by you and me forcefully. They should have gone under, had to reorganize and moved on that way paying back their own debts like every other American would have had to do.
 


meh im not biased on any make. theyre all built to break. ive drivin all of em and have had mixed emotions. btw gm may have needed a handout from the government but they havent sold themselves to other companies like ford/ mazda and chrysler/ fiat correct me if im wrong. considering new design id choose a ford though. the new sho, the fusion, and the saleen s331 are a few id be proud to drive. i cant say the same about gm though.
 
Personally, as a GM fan and a mechanic, I HATE CHRYSLER products with a passion, besides Jeep but even those have ****ty transmissions. Would never own one, even though the new challenger is sexy. Other than that I perfer GM over ford, but the new ford lineup is growing on me, I think I would like to get the wife a fusion, maybe. But in all fairness, I hate GM's 2.2, 3.1, and 3.4 engines.
 
I love Fords .... they keep me in a Job ... I'm a fleet mechanic for a landscaping business and well 90% of the fleet are Fords and well they keep me in a job, lol
 
I dont like Fords.

But I have noticed that F150 drivers are the biggest tools on the road. Its usually a short bald fat guy who thinks hes the ****. They love to tailgate, and I love to piss them off while they tailgate.

The only Fords I would ever drive are the late 80s T-Bird turbo, the new Taurus SHO, a Fox Body GT, or my buddys 94 Cobra with 6,000 (six-thousand) miles. No other ford catches my interest.

Ive also noticed that the only people who like Fords are people who sell them, or make money fixing them.
 


Never owned a ford but their line up is growing on me like many others have said my 1st choice would be a black on black MKS!! black leather wrapped dash stainless interior trim and a 3.5 ecoboost 365hp would make a damn nice DD. Esp 200 miles round trip to work it sure would make a nice cruiser. Dont really HATE any brand just take each for what they are and were designed to do. Hell their are few jap cars id own.

eh... look at what the troubles they did have caused. it's all but killed michigan and ohio when you figure in what it did with all the parts suppliers and related companies. imagine what would have happened if they re-tooled?
 
I hate Ford cars! I have always liked Ford trucks though. I had my 2001 F-150 for over six years. I didn't have one major problem with it, (except the girl on oxycontin that decided to total it while it was parked!)
I now have a 96 F-250 with the 351 windsor. What a great truck!

have a 95 explorer that doesnt want to die. and it has the crappy v6!

dont matter to me. id rather have a ford than a ****ty kia or a hyundai.

Hate is a very strong word. If I based all my GM info off the 1984 cavy my opinion of GM would be very different.

As far as fleet mechanics working on Fords a lot could that be because most of the vehicles in the fleet are Fords? We had a fleet of over 250 Dodges that hauled trailers all over the US. Guess what, we worked on Dodges 98% of the time. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm The 5 GMs with Mits motors in them. Everyone had to have the fuel rails, injectors and transmissions(allisons) repaired. The 10 Fords with 7.3s in them routine maintenance only.

That was my experiance with multiple brands in the fleet. What did we work on most? Dodges, because they are junk....oh wait.....the odds say we would work on more of them since they are the main in the fleet. Huhhhhhhhhh.

Not saying which is better then whom, but if you make a broad statement please supply all the information you are basing that choice on. Helps make a logical discussion instead of just name calling.
