The 2.5L in my commanchee was the slowest vehicle i've ever driven in my life it was awful. I raced a prius once that didn't even get on his car and i lost by a lot.

Jeep 3.7 = should never have been developed, high failure rate, underpowered, poor fuel economy.

My 4.0 Cherokee 5 speed 4x4 gets 25.3 MPG. A Liberty isn't even good enough to have the Jeep name in front of it...what a worthless piece of poop.
