• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What I'm going to ask for a grad present

who cares what he gets, in a few months it will be destroyed because he does not appreciate the value because he did not have to pay for it himself

this is an extremely ignorant thing to say. lol. gtfo.
i got my car as an inheritance, aka FOR FREE, but i take DAMN good care of it.

Sounds like you have absolutely no idea what you want in a car.

Unless there's something you left out, your grand prix has plenty of life in it. Parts are mostly plentiful, relatively cheap, and the car is pretty easy to work on.

Keep driving your grand prix for a few years. Who wants to take a nice car to college, and park it in a lot full of cars that people don't care enough about(door dings and scratches galore).

I understand. But it's really out of my hands. Parents don't think the prix has much left :(

So you like acuras but not hondas? well whatever i guess. Im going to highly suggest an acura RSX then. if you want it to be quick and fun you can get the type S, if you want a good DD you can get a base and get good MPG. This would also be better in snow than the firebird and gto ect.

Ok, so if your parents think you have to have a car - sit down and think about what you need/want in a car.

You're throwing out small cars, big v8 powered cars, suv's.
Do you need an SUV for any reason?

No I don't need an SUV you're right.

I thought about it today. I narrowed it down to a Jeep Wrangler Sahara, a lower mileage GTP, and either an eclipse or an RSX.

I think the GTP might be the best option. That way I can still be with you people

I'd never own another WBody again.

I'd also drive that Grand Prix until it falls apart.

It's probably got another solid 50k on it at least if it is in "decent" shape now.

I'd tell my parents to save that money until I got out of college that way you can have a nice car to start off with...not get all crapped on and ran down the four~ years you're in school

The engine maybe. Just maybe. If I go get a full cleaning done. My body, the suspension in particular has maybe a few more winters before the rust causes things to fall apart. Lol I especially need new struts and mounts. Soon.
