What happened to TDC Racing???

yeah the paypal info was helpfull there. thanks. i would still like to wait a few more days maybe into next week before i file a claim.

He's had ample time to post a message, contact you guys. I wouldnt be waiting or giving him any days. Here's the deal; the only way anyone will get their money back through paypal is IF he still has money in his paypal account. If he has moved the money out of his account then your S.O.L. I did business with TDC and got my parts. I really don't know what or why he has made no contact. Whatever the "family emergency" was it would have taken only a few minutes to post a message to his customers. Its not just guys on this forum either that are waiting for parts and out money. I hope you guys get your money back but with the site going down and no contact from him, its not looking good.

I have dealt with him too in the past and had NO issue with him. Parker has been very helpful to me in providing product and advice. But look at the facts.........are you serious? You really think that? naive much?
 
its the site going down i think that is causing the biggest concern for people not getting thier parts/cash.. if it was a miscommunication thing only i think everyone would be fine, but the site being jacked is what makes it seem suspect

i hope he does come back tho, he has helped me out in the past and wanna see him come back!
 
oh yeah you all dealt with him in the past, but i bet at that time he's only selling few small thing here and there. this is now were talking about. we're talking about 19 people and few thousand $$$ he owe? gee whiz 19 people is that all?
 


ya i understand your concern, and its smart to protect yourself (especially against the crazy japanese site that has now taken over), i guess i was just saying there is a chance that things will work out, and i hope they do
 
do people not also understand that his sight could have been put to that info that is on there now by the company that owns the rights to his sight, and they do that if the sight has not been payed for?? That is what they do when you dont pay for a sight.... It could have been hacked, but you dont know that either. So he doesnt pay for the website, wont give back people he owes money too, doesnt ship out parts because he doesnt have them, takes the money for those parts, gives out BS shipping info, doesnt refund money to people who have it coming to them, wont respond to e-mails or pm's, wont talk to or respond to his "friends" on the site, his website goes down, he logs on to messenger but wont come on here, he wont even make a simple quick post at any time on here to explain anything, he removes the link from his sig to his website..........come on people, wake up. How many coincidences do you need. All of this and his super cheap selling of certain items right before he possibly bailed.....take the money and run? I bet he has more than $5000 in product and/or money owed to people. I am sure that there are people that we havent heard from yet that have sent him money or ordered parts. I hope I am wrong in this.........but how many puzzle pieces do you need to figure this all out? It has been almost two weeks and nothing........wake up.
 
USAA says i will have my $ from paypal in 24-48 business hours. But paypal has 45 days to dispute this. Good thing i save all e-mails and PMs.

Anyone wanna Guestimate the total $$ amount paid for items not delivered + value of items sent for mods that were not returned?? Just for people on this Board..I'm assuming there are others.

It has only been a little over a week of 2 here. Let time go by. Save copies of emails and screens of PM's.

If his paypal account is cleared out, and attached to a bank account that was also cleaned out... that's fraud. Interstate Fraud. Paypal may say you are just screwed, but you are not. There are such things as Lawyers, civil suits. I don't think there enough victims here for a class-action, but an single attorney can take on a case for a group of people. One person can ripped off on E-Bay. For dozens to take it in the shorts without doing anymore then whining, well that's on you guys.

Kinda scary. I've only dealt with Dave at TripleEdge (Trannyman) <Outstanding guy> thru boards. Before this started, I hope TDC didn't enjoy the same rep Dave has...
 
This all seems very bad for all involved I keep reading this and think many of you have more patients then i do. I make house calls about stuff like this when moneys on the line.
Even for the most loyal to him this does look very bad. It also effects every one else selling product or services on here and other forums cause it lowers trust across the board

It's odd that it's a Chinese site. Who gets hosting from China? If it was a hack, I'm thinking the host would see the change in traffic and at least put up a 404
(not found) ...

I really hope that everyone who paid for anything opens a dispute ASAP so you can have that money frozen at least if there is any left. You can just let it sit as a dispute for up to 20 days if you feel somewhat confident that he might get back to you before escalating to a claim. He can still turn this around if he wants to. I wouldn't take anymore chances though.

Legal action outside of Paypal is possible but even altogether this is small potatoes when it comes to a lawsuit. Lawyers aren't cheap. We should use our options with paypal first and see what happens.
 
He has time. Legally. It may not be good for customer satisfaction, but bottom line it's not about what his past performance was, or his verbal "estimates". I'm not up to poking around the web to find out. He doesn't have to conform to verbal promises, or EBay's status quo. He has to work within the law. I'm thinking it's around 30-60 days + working time. If he has a Big Family thing going on, as peeps close to him have said, he may be in "screw it mode". The guy might be in a Mental Hospital, devastated by the loss of a parent. Seems know one knows. He might be a criminal who does this all the time, changing boards, getting a rep, pyramiding the money, then making off into the anonymous Internet Night.

Especially with the timing here, I'm thinking he's a College Kid that got overwhelmed by orders couldn't get the crap even close to delivered, then used the cash to pay for school, thinking he'll make it right after he gets a time on a break...

the chinese site probably sponsors that web host....or pays them to put up their site whenever someone doesnt pay....why is all of the text in Chinese(if it is chinese) but the pics are of non chinese people? Just a guess as to what happened. No one here actually knows.
