What Do You DISLIKE About Your Grand Prix?

the fact that i had $13,000 and i spent it on a fwd heavy ass car that looks like a drug dealer would drive i could of got a badass mustang or a truck or a jeep but my parents just had to get this pos

dude same thing here!!!!! but I'm alright with a supercharger!

Yup.

I've never had projectors either. Have been down the HID road though. (non projector style) they do put more light on the road and let you see more when say turn onto a dark street.

i have 6000k's in ma prix non projectors. bt i have a eclipse with projectors nd hid's on projectors nd fogs. and its way better with the projectors the beam is much sharp nd just cuts off at a strait horizontal line.

POS AIR CONDITIONING. :th_gun-rockets::th_gun-rifle:

HOLY CRAP ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? Its flipping August were i am, and the time it takes my to go down my driveway im getting cold air!!! (20 sec.) My a/c is amazing, even when compared to the nice luxury cars! Im running an 2000 Grand Prix GT.

  • The interior is so incredibly cheap. Everything rattles - it's all plastic crap. It just feels and looks very cheap.
  • The heated seat burns my ass
  • The headlights are crap - they are poorly sealed and need routine replacement
  • The HUD is very hard to see with polarized sunglasses
  • The interior is incredibly cheap
  • The tranny gets confused sometimes and won't downshift when I want it to
  • The interior sucks
  • The mileage readout and range on the computer are laughably inaccurate
  • The interior was designed by three drunk imbeciles
  • The steering wheel controls wear out way too easily
  • I've seen better build quality on a tace bell grande than in the GTP's interior
When it's all said and done - I have almost 130k miles on my GTP. I still love it and drive it more than my GTO.

But, even when it was brand new, it felt cheap. The gaps on the interior were all over the place and you could see obvious places where the injection molded flashing was not trimmed on the panel pieces. This is just shoddy design.

Nothing on the interior ever felt anything other than cheap.

Haha - no kidding.

I have NEVER been in a ANY car with AC as good as the AC in my GTP.

In the heat of the summer here, I have to turn it down as it's uncomfortably cold - it makes my hands hurt on the steering wheel.

Spending five hours slaving over the car to weld the headers and start up the car to have it misfire like a mother****er.

my air will freeze u out after 10 minutes on high.
i hate the fact that its a piece of sh1t.

Yeah, bought my car last year (2001 GT), the ac was dead. Went to have it charged, and it wouldn't take any freon. So I said screw that and suffered without air last summer. This summer I changed out the orifice tube, and it actually took freon. Was cold for a week, then the drivers side started to not be as cool, and after a few more weeks, the passenger side would start to lose its cool air as well.

And dont even think about selecting anything but MAX AC, because the air will be even warmer. It makes me so mad to ride in somebodys 1994 car or see an ad for a 80s Camaro or something and it says "Ice Cold AC"

I asked the previous owner about the AC issue (hes a neighbor and original owner of car) and he said he never had any issue with the AC.

I guess thats what I get for buying a car that sat in a guys backyard untouched for almost 3 years.

I am extremely jealous of all of you. :th_shakinghead2:

i don't use mine. it doesn't really get that cold anyways. and it makes my car rev to high hell when i don't expect it to. windows down is more fun too

Yes windows down is more fun, but when the back of my shirt is drenched in sweat, especially when Im going into work, it kinda sucks.

Oh - one other thing.

Who designed the windshield wipers on this car? Why can't they lift up off the windshield like a normal car? This makes squeegieing the window near impossible in the winter.
