What Do You DISLIKE About Your Grand Prix?

ys even my 08 gp is low on cold air. my gf complains that my 97 eclipse has way better cold than the 08 gp. and i have never done any service on my 97 eclipse besides cleaning the front ac condenser. should try that out on my gp too.

I hate that every time I save enough money to buy some mods for my car, something on it breaks and the repair uses up all those funds. As a result, it's still stock. :(

The GT and GTP could have worn different gauge clusters...maybe with Volt and Oil gauges, and a boost GAUGE for the GTP (like the Impala SS) and maybe different number and letter font, and also a 150mph speedo. Let the Grand Prix SE use the gauge cluster were all stuck with...

^x2
If we had full guage clusters that would b sick!

1. headlights are useless
2. exhaust manifolds, downpipe and ubend. The GTP could've been a faster stock car without these design flaws and probably wouldn't had affected the price on it.

The shroud..... piece of the dash that goes around the cluster, radio, etc... most people remove this, **** you the foam padding and get squeeks, most people think nothing of it when the have it off. The strips are there for a reason...
alot of people complain about the dash but ive had the shroud off 3 times since ive owned it (in my 2000 gp gt) and ive even lost a few clips here and there and mine neve squeaks or rattles.

i have the same problem but im blaming the people who put my fender on after i hit a deer because i never ever had that happen before!

Cheap plastic dash makes lots of noise. Also would have been happy to get a bigger engine in her :th_laugh-lol3: . But hey who wouldnt?

I dislike:
  • 200hp 225tq can def. be more faster.maybe drop 100lbs and make it rwd.
  • Ive spent about 4k in repairs in 1 1/2 years(parts and labor)
  • bad quality head and tailights
  • tranny could be stronger
  • and stock exhaust could have sounded much better, especialy with a 3.8

one of the main reasons i bought my 2000 gp gt was because of the interior. it was leather, in great shape, really clean, had all the options and the other thing that sold me on it was how hard it ran for stock. but ive had it for almost 3 yrs now and other than normal wear and tear i havent put much money into really. but in the last year ive hit a deer and that was $3000 (thank god for full coverage!) and then it all starting going down hill from there. now almost everything on the inside has quit working or i had to replace and living in IA my car sees more snow than sun and its starting to rust in a few places. but i just cant part with it. she still runs hard and has alot of life left in her!

Just wait until it gets older and you get a few more miles on it. I thought my '97 would never rattle and guess what it started doing this fall...
