• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Ordered some window motors off fleabay. And bought a brand new tire on an Aurora rim for $20 on Craigslist. Now I just need to find one more tire, because the front two on the Regal are bald as crap.

Bigger brakes equals no winter wheels for you, I got my Gxp fronts if you want to get some stopping power under those impala wheels. You might need spacers though
Booo.
Dumb question, do the SS's and GXP'S not have the same brakes?

I just noticed it at first when I got it that it seemed like the stopping power sucked. Doesn't seem so bad now that I've gotten used to the car. If I do bigger brakes it won't be until spring or summer.
It's got recently newish fronts on it, I think 10k miles. But I believe they are just a plain Napa brand. The guy seemed to buy all parts from Napa. Which is fine, doesn't bother me.

A lot better....I like them. What brand are they

did you drill and weld washers to the strut tower there? it looks like theres a camber adjustment that would have been twisted if it went into the stock holes.

The plate was smaller than the factory plate or else I'd have just drilled the plate for the factory holes. I re enforced the mount locations. And stich welded on the strut tower where the factory spot welds where. From what I can tell haulin ass around the neighborhood, with the spring locked in place by the top hats and zero deflection, she handles a lot more precisely and just overall smoother

Heading to the JY with a friend tomorrow, not sure if I'll get anything though. Can't really think of much I could get. I also helped him work on his 97 GP he got for $600. I flipped the dog bones, installed missing fender braces, remounted the PCM, fixed his passenger window motor, replaced the passenger side mirror, and started troubleshooting his ABS problem. He swapped over 1 strut and wheel bearing on his passenger side. Who works faster? haha.

Spent six hours polishing my heads, without any beer to add lol... i know it won't help a whole lot, but figured why not... I'm cheap and don't want to pay for heads at this time. Need to build a solid trans first :-)

Toyed with a civic this morning on the way to work. He tried to pass me as i took off from a stop sign so at about 40mph I hammered on it and smoked the tires as i pulled away from him and let off about 80 then slowed back down and he stayed on it and I waited for him to get beside me again and I hit it again and pulled to about 100 then let out and it took him about another 1/4 mile to get around me as i coasted lol

Productive day at the JY, driving time was longer than how long we were there, lol. I picked up a shifter assembly for my mother-in-law's GP, a new seat track for my GXP seats, and a set of 04+ needles for $22. My buddy picked up a coupe door window, a tie rod end, an auto-dimming mirror, hood hinges (and struts), and a set of 04+ needles for $62. The tie rod end isn't a permanent fix. He had a 99 Century that we are going to scrap, but he had put new struts and wheel bearings on it, so he wanted to swap it all over to his new GP. He thought it'd be easier to pop the BJ, TRE, and take the axle out...I disagree, but his project whatever. He buggered up the threads on the Century's tie rod end, so he just grabbed this replacement for $5 so we can drive the car to his dad's house, his dad can rob what he wants then scrap it.

I already have 04+ needles, so I'm not sure what I'll do with them...but hey they had them so I grabbed them, lol. If I ever get another 04+ seat track, I'm going to try and make the passenger seat powered.

Finally got around to porting the runners on my intake.

Also made an attempt to port my spare TB. Had to stop once the dremel bit was coated in metal, boo. I might finish it if J can get more bits for cheap.
