• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Scored a very lightly used dorman fuel level sender for free. I put it in a Buick in the spring and now changed the whole fuel pump assembly. That saves me a few pennies since mine is on its way out

Bought some 18 gauge wire and shink tubing for the upcoming 3rd attempt to get my ABS light off now I need to see if my grandpa has some flux core solder as mine has been lost. Also my touchup paint arrived, 13.90 for this itty bitty 1/2 oz bottle.

Tried to yank the front passenger rail out a bit, didn't seem to work. But got other things bent out. Thinking of just slapping a bumper & some airbags on it and call it a day & saying say F^*k it & sell it

I probably will. I saw one on the impala forum and it looks awesome. His write up wasn't very good tho, so I gotta do some digging. Assuming you just cut slots on the part you drill to bumper to allow it to curve with the car?

He used both the hard and soft ones, it looked awesome.

Build a plate to attach where the bumper does. Attach a chain and come-along to a big stationary object and to plate. Rent some torches. Heat the offending area with the torches. SLOWLY pull out the damage with the come-along. Primer and rattle can area. Reinstall all needed parts. DONE.

Agreed.. I used serious chain, a come along, my truck as stationary object (blocked wheels on both vehicles) and large straps (I pulled the rad support though). use the other GP you have for measurements.

Got a new toy the other day. 91 firebird...... its nice to have something to call my own again

blew a coolant elbow, looked like i seafoamed my car when i looked out the rear view mirror, pulled it over and then seen my coolant elbow went missing. Gotta tow it back to house and replace it tomorrow or friday. always fun to see LOTS of smoke out of exhaust and engine steaming
