So once again....for the 3rd time I tore the brakes off the GP last night in my chances to find the clunk. Everything appeared ok so I put it back together again. Drove it home and didn't notice any clunking, but only time will tell if I fixed whatever it was. I also started this last night........




 


Lost all accessory lighting in the regal last night. No speedo no tach no radio no a/c lights. All the fuses are good so I'm thinking headlight switch?
 
Valve cover took a crap. The rear one too. Noticed an oil smell at the red lights. Decided to look underwhere I park the car and yup small puddle of oil. On the left side when lookimg at the car. I check the front valve cover. Yup its good. Check the rear and yup my fingers come back oily.

This valve cover has some cracks. I think it might be warped too.

I might get an alumium one. But will probably just pick up a new one at the dealer. The parts stores dont stock that valve cover.
 
I have a rear aluminum one I'll sell.

I added timing to my car to see how it likes it. 18* at 11.5 afr and no Kr I'm happy with that. I'll go to 20 tomorrow and see if it likes it.

True. I got a quote from the dealer for 50 bucks with rear valve cover and gasket kit with coolant elbows. Not worth my time to scoure the yard looking for a decent one.

After I get this fixed I will have to change my oil. Its due anyway.
 


Enjoyed this new strange noise that just pops up at random and leaves when it wants too
