• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

I've been neglecting the interior of the car the last few weeks due to working late hours and it had become the catch all for clothes and other stuff. So I took some time and cleaned it out and reorganized everything I keep in there. Then I also cleaned the interior panels. So now she's all clean and dust free. I even washed the outside and put some tire shine on and polished the rims a little.

I've had the cabin filter in for a month now I think and I'm not to impressed with it. I'm still getting dust and corn beeswings inside. I even ran the hvac system at full blast for awhile before install so it was relatively clean. I knew some would still come....but the daily change hasn't reduced any. Oh well I guess.
Is there a way to really clean all the vent tubes out?

Dan....that sucks about the car. I hope you can get her back on the road soon.

Retro, because all the cool kids did it.

Also want to put this out there: Just 'cause you bought it from TRS, doesn't mean they're not ebay china quality. It means its been looked over once and checked for quality, then released for sale. Why do I say this? Missing four screws to hold the shroud to the projector and one of my amp pins fell out of the connector. Only noticed the connector issue because the bulb wouldn't stay lit. Some of the connectors are super cheap, others are decent. Casting of the projectors is super cheap, but then again, they will never be seen. On the plus side, the light output is simply amazing. Aiming them was super easy. Just put them in, make sure they're level, then aim the headlight housings using the factory height adjustors.

On the whole though, light output is pretty badass, and Blair at XD Creations was great getting these out to me quickly so I could get them in before next weekend. Anyone in Ontario looking at TRS products, I'd suggest dealing with Blair to save customs and shipping time.

Don't even get me started on what they "should have" done.

I'll suffice it to say, getting the bumper off is a breeze, and I installed the projectors in three hours. That's including taking off the bumper and putting it back on.

Volvo isn't owned by GM is it?

Volvo was owned by Ford from the late 90's until recently.

Now they're owned by Geely of China.

The first gen S80, was entirely of Volvo design though.

Ford sorta "borrowed" a lot of the design of this car, and uses it for a lot of their cars. Lookup the D3 platform, and the P1 platform.

The Mazda 3, the latest NA market Focus and the Volvo C30 are all based on the same platform.

I bet its nice when some cars can retrofit as simple as pulling the projector through and tighten it up.

I had to trim the rear of the housing, then modify the stock bulb retaining bracket, but yes, otherwise, it is basically a direct bolt in.

The headlight lenses are glass, so they're held in by metal clips. So you don't even have to bake the lenses off.
