you have no clue. the heater hose leaked, the elbows, the water pump, the upper hose i bought the car with, now the rad took a dump. whats left to leak? the lower hose right? lol
 
Took it for a spin, got to chat with a ricer for a bit who was actually pretty cool and knowledgeable.

Took off some more 3m double sided tape. One day it'll all be off.
 
anyone ever use a plastic welder? just saw a bunch of vids fixing plastic rad tanks, looks to easy to be true. HF sells a welder for 15 bucks. dont think i can buy a used rad for that cheap.
 


Such a nice day here today. I washed the GTP and put some clay on it. It was so warm the heat in my garage only ran once or twice today. That isn't saying much I keep the heat at 55 in there.

Look at that shine after a proper clay bar and wax. First time I have used clay on it since I have owned it.

Hey Cap'n- I think I listened to the right video ... it was dark and I couldn't tell when you were turning or which direction. Sounded nasty though. I wanted to throw another thing out there for you to check in case none of you guys have had it happen on your car ...

I had a starter go bad once on my GP GT. It worked fine but the part that retracts the gear had broken or worn out. So when I turned left and took off, the gear would bounce off the starter ring on the flexplate and make the most "look-at-me-I-drive-junk" sound you can imagine. Simply unscrewing the inspection cover and laying a finger on it will tell you if its bad, it should not move in and out when the starter is at rest.

I have. Don't trust it as a permanent fix on a radiator tank. Personally I would use epoxy instead. Radiator end tanks are this kinda porpous hard plastic thats very rigid but doesn't weld well, it would rather burn. You would really just be sticking a gob of plastic to it, whereas other types of plastic actually melt right together.

think this way would hold up? they melt a large line in the crack, then fill and smooth. i have a heat gun to help soften it up. like in the vid.

 




treat it before like you're gonna put glue that will be there for ever on it. scuff it a little pit if are putting to pieces together... if not.. just wipe it down and make sure there isn't any crap on it.
 
i was thinking it should be sprayed with brake cleaner and wiped off, then lightly sanded aka scuffed so it bonds a bit better.

pretty sure i got some here somewhere too. makes it even cheaper to get done.
