• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Spent four hours trying to move it from my buddies old house to my parents and then tomorrow to the transmission shop since he had to move unexpectedly. It doesnt seem to like my year old gas

We finally got the rest of the parts in the mail so we launched a full scale assault on the 99 GP today.

Put new pads on the rear brakes, rotated the tires, oil change, Dex VI trans fluid & filter & Lucas trans treatment plus installed a Trans Go shift kit.

I had planned to put a new crank sensor in too but my impact gun didn't have the nuts to bust the crank bolt loose.

I was really surprised how clean the trans was inside for a 160k car.. Fluid was burned but it had no varnish at all and just a small amount of dust on the magnet.. no metal flakes to be seen.

Huge improvement in shifting and overall driving.. We took it for a 30 mile drive to bed in the new pads and get the trans warm.. It never acted up on us. Before it would go to full line pressure & hard shifting after about 15 minutes.

Will I admit that I realized I forgot to put the trans filter in after dumping in a gallon of Dex VI and a bottle of lucas? Yeah I did that.. We ran back to the parts store and got a fresh clean catch pan, dumped the trans, put the filter in and poured it back in.. Lost about 30 min on the deal but hey I got a new pan right? lol.

I even got the teen to pitch in and help

Drove it next to this, featured at a small local used car dealership...

...and it's lower than mine. In the front at least. (the one behind is mine)
Giving me ideas though. the chrome surround around the grill and emblem are now black and has carbon fiber over red on emblem. I didn't bother to check the headlights but it had a retrofitsource sticker on a window. Tinted tails, debadged rear end, different exaust tips, looked like different fogs lights, and a shredded home depot lip that I think the dealership doesn't know about. It's a near newer than mine and has factory nav along with alcoas as well. 94k at $9900

Sent it off for repair. :th_sick2:
Started sounding like an angry Decepticon under throttle, which turned to something more like violent rod knock. Checked under the hood to find bolts snapped off the transmission. I swear, everything the used car salesman touched on this car is :th_angry-censored::th_angry-censored::th_angry-censored:

Gave it 3/4 throttle or so for the first time after gutting my stock airbox. Man there is such a huge difference, it's pretty loud now, sounds a lot meaner.

p0102 code came up..changed the cracked vac lines and even bought a new maf...still throws code..turns out its a damn fuse.:th_shakinghead1:

Went to the junkyard, got some parts for the rear door panels (to add lights), and 5 auto up\down modules. Then I came home and put together some schematics for them. End result is Auto Up\Down on front doors, with only Auto Down on the rear doors:

your car looks pretty low on the stands there....you fit under there to get the rack out? i know i had my car much higher, plus had the back tires up on ramps for even more room.
