if you had my track record with locking keys in the car, you'd have gotten one with in two weeks too. lol
i also paid a lock smith, (once) 75 dollar lesson.
the next time i had just bought my 03 gmc, it was 2 weeks old, i was out on long island and locked the keys in the truck while at a job site. had to go to the manger of the store, and ask for a phone book, found a lock smith a few miles away, called him, called the dealer to get my key code, and had that guy cut me a key, cost 30 bucks that time. but i had a spare key now.
i even lucked out with a ride from the manger to the locksmith.
When I had the G6, I locked the keys in the car with it running in Louisville, KY. In that town, unless there is a child in the car, police won't unlock it. So here it is, 10pm and 5 hours away from home trying to find a locksmith. 2 hours later, almost an empty tank of gas and $50 I had an unlocked car.
