• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

The GP has been parked since Tuesday for want of premium gas (currently running about $3.89/gallon).

I rolled up my change and have about $25 ready to go in the gas tank for this weekend.

Plus this CD:

You'll find me in the Beavercreek area, trolling for Civic's and Cavalier's so I can school them properly.

It's probably one of those things that is up to the parts store clerk. If they're in a bad mood, they quote the warranty and tell you to f*ck yourself. If they're in a good mood and want the business for brake grease and brake cleaner, they'll swap the pads out.

That. Or the counter person is just an idiot and doesn't know what a limited lifetime warranty entrails. Being its AutoZone I wouldn't be surprised at that as they only seem to hire idiots.

Oil change, wheels balanced and aligned, filled tank and added some fuel system cleaner. Gonna hit the road to Daytona beach later.

The shop I took it to was slammed and they couldn't get to my motor mount project in time so I took matters into my own hands. Here's the rear mount I'm coming up with for the ls4 basically chopping it in half welding g steel which gives the ability to bolt my polyurethane block between the two.

I inspected my oil filter from my last oil change. 2,700 miles on synthetic oil. There was a good amount of carbon inside. It has the texture of sand, so it would be very bad if a filter were to fail. That makes me wonder. All of the posts I've seen on the forums about 3800's developing a rod knock just about overnight with full oil seems suspicious. The next person that it happens to, take the oil filter apart and make sure the filter element doesn't have a hole in it or something. That carbon really is quite abrasive.

Ordered a fuel pump from the wbody store on Monday or last friday and it is just now shipping to my house and will not be here until Wednesday (I have sunday, monday, and tuesday off) so I probably will not get to install it until next sunday. Thursday if I'm lucky.

Good question. I found the other half laying on the concrete. How exactly it broke I have no idea it's not like it broke in the ignition or door lock or anything . FML!

i used to have my keys on a brass like dog leash end, and i would clip them to my belt loop. i cant tell you how many times my keys got hung up on something, even bent a few of them.

I keep then separate. My mind is boggled. I was going to wash the truck went to put the key in the door to unlock it and noticed it was broke. So dirty truck plus broke key FML. Hopefully a replacement isn't to bad.

thats good.

my car came with one key, it was the first things i fixed. new key and fob. im really good at locking my keys inside the car. ( its fun to do when your 100 miles from home) im shocked i dont have a hide a key on the regal yet. i've had a key hiding on my last 3 cars. (thats like 13 years worth of cars)

I bought the dummy key after I locked the key in the car literally right across the street from my house in Advance Autoparts parking lot. I was heated $75 and locksmith is literally 5 mins down the road.
