• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Btw. It shows the my intake is super hot.
Is this normal?

I have the cone one i think the metal get hot.
If its bad ill go back to the stock.

IATs are always high and will be closer to engine temperature since the sensor is usually in the engine bay. You can fix this with an iat relocation.

That's probably why it's high. If your "cold" air intake is just off the throttle body (also assuming the IAT sensor is correctly remounted on new setup), it's sucking in the hot engine bay air.

But thats where usually ppl put their intake.
Maybe i need to cover it with something?
Thats the one i have.

Yeah that is a normal setup. Was the reading taken with the engine temp really at 220? And I'm assuming you weren't driving at the time. Sounds like normal under the hood temps in those conditions. While actually driving with air moving, those readings are unlikely.

Changed my power steering pump, had the shop helper look at the pump while I turned the wheels lock to lock til the foam was out, paid $55 for the pump and $9 to use the post shop and their SnapOn tools, now I have only one whining noise and that's the SC.

Funny thing, one of the shop helpers asked me what I was doing, I said "power steering pump" and he said "Good, people might think you have a SUPERCHARGER" to which I said "Yes, I do and it's GOLD"

That Motherfvcker LOOKED too, hahahahaha.

It's nice not to hear that power steering pump whining, I hope it last longer than a year though LOL.

when i did my rack, while turning the wheel lock to lock that 10 times, my pump burped and then puked 1/2 a res of p/s fluid all aver the place. not so cool. lol

I got lucky, it burped, but did not go all over the place. I saw the guy jump when it did LOL. It all worked out good though. I also did 10 and a little more til he said it was not foaming.

What you have is what people classify as a Cold Air Intake, but a true CAI moves the air filter or piping where it can suck in Cold air, by having it in the engine bay its classified as a Warm Air Intake, it breathes better and will be better on mpg compared to an actual CAI, but more power will come from a true CAI, and that is from cold air = more dense = more power.

Doing something smart today. Making a list of future mods and maintenance stuffs. I'll organize it and start from the top. Yep, great idea.
