• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

What are the signs of lifter failure? My Grandpa has a 08 Avalanche and it ticks really bad when first started until your let it idle for a while or drive it for like 5min.

Little insight. I should of noticed 2 months ago it was going to fail. At idle I'd hear a pop and now I understand it was that intake valve from DoD lifter going bad not opening all the way. Luckily the second it collapsed I was in the parking lot and turned it off. Didn't cause any further damage.

Got all the parts needed to put the bonneville back together and fixed a brake line on it. I'll be replacing the other 2 broken brake lines when I feel like it and putting all back together.

Reset it for my trip back to school driving up and down hills and into the mountains and stuff. Had cruise on 64 most of the way and managed to pull this. This is the best I have ever seen and was shocked I know partially cause of coasting and stuff but previously the most I ever pulled was 27.5 after a reset and I know the dic isn't that accurate but it was just exciting.

Also cleaned out all the trash

I have 2.93. The problem is superchargers love to build boost while climbing hills which sucks the fuel down.

I got over 28 mpg with no tune on my trips to Norwalk, OH with lots of town driving mixed in. I got less than 23 mpg on my all highway trip to Virginia because of hills/mountains.

Hmm either way lol idc that much cause I'll have whine and 160 hp isn't cutting it. Lol

^^Yep. From a MPG standpoint, I always loose a little speed going up the hills and get it back on the downhills, and get a running start at any hill you can. Most of the time I don't care enough and let cruise control do it all.

I left a milk crate in front of the GTP and when I pulled out of the garage. Crack goes the bumper. OOps. I guess that is what I get when I don't drive a car for a while and I just pull it out of the garage.
