I didn't mean in the GP world Lol, I'm still new to this stuff I meant in civics and such they run staggered stance does a square stance give more overall grip?
 


245 50 17s if you have 17 inch Mustang wheels. Dorman bar is not adjustable, it's the exact same as the GMPP (GM Peformance package) sway bar, except for it's solid.

fresh built 99 GT ..... Dorman front, Addco rear, KYB Excel with Vogtlands, new LCA's with Moog problem solvers, Moog rear links, Dorman trailing arms, (4) adjustable Lateral links for 0 camber, poly bushings front, 245-45-18's on Bullitts (5mm spacers) ..... among other goodies .... but this suspension setup is SWEET !!!!

Looks good but doesn't look much lower than stock, when did you put the springs in and how many miles did you drive on them so far? Sounds like a solid setup and mine will be very similar if not almost identical. I think ill drive a little while with the oe bar and the springs, take it through some corners and see what kinda feedback i get since theres plenty of dorman bars out there so no rush, btw what tires are you on?
 
Mine took awhile to settle, at least a month, but I don't drive much (3 square mile town\village\gathering). You have 18 inch wheels or 17s? I went with Falken Ziex and I couldn't say enough good things about them. Since I live in the country I get to drive on curvy roads quite a bit, and I have yet to hear even a slight squeal out of the tires. Granted I don't drive THAT crazy.

I'll admit that there was still some "pogo" to the suspension at times, it would be a slightly bouncy depending on road condition or what kinda bumps you hit but overall the struts can handle the drop good. I also did not have a front sway bar on the car, it had broke in half from the every common rust/cheapness and I never got around to replacing it. It would have handled alot better with it for sure.

Also, you can buy SSC from canuck motorsports. They make the springs anyway, instead of buying through another vendor. The price is also cheaper, I think I paid like 170ish for them like 2-3 years ago.

I just want to add my input for anyone that might come across the endless threads regarding setups, but I also have GR2's / Excel G's on SSC's and I can attest to the pogo FiveFinger is talking about. I'm not disappointed, but it is a slight nuisance at times. Going on about 2 - 3 months at this time and went off this setup based on my endless searches with this being one of the more common setups around.

I've heard nothing but great reviews on the Ziex... but I believe as of late the Ecsta 4xII is the very best in the UHP category. I've got the 17x8 wheels, I guess I'll run 245/45s all around I guess since I've been talked out of the staggered stance. With the A/S Ecstas I'm sure the car will grip significantly harder than any stock GP (as far as I know comp g grips harder than the GXP, I could be wrong)... but the real fun will begin once I get the proper summer tires, I've considered Michelin's PSS, it's a really safe bet but lately I think the Ecsta XS might be better since it has a lower treadwear, but that's none of the worries now, summer is a long time away
 
FWIW.. if you are looking to budget build it..
Hit a JY and
-Snag a 2000+ Monte front and rear sway for ??? $10 each? That's the GMPP bars.
-Bring an 18mm socket and long or breaker bar with you and snag the big washer/cup looking thing that holds the subframe bushing via the bolt. That's what ZZP sells as an anti-pogo washer and they work great.
-Snag caliper brackets from either a new monte or a Park Ave..those are the larger rotor brackets. Or find an F body from 98-02 with the aluminum calipers.
-While you are at the Monte/Impala section look for the beefier drag links (Impala police car for sure, some Montes)
-If the price is right, snag an aluminum subframe off a Monte/Impala (it's not better except in weight IIRC 20lbs difference) My local yard charged $50 or $75

Save your money for the lateral bars, although I was able to get a screaming deal on all six bars and wouldn't have wanted drag bars any less than what I got for the lateral/toe.

wow thats solid advise, I thought only the cop cars came with the GMPP bars but any old 2k+ Monte makes things so much easier, and for $10 each I have no excuse to skip out on a front bar or give the rear GMPP bar at least a try, I'll probably buy ADDCO bar anyway but for $10 why not try the 19 mm bar at least for the winter, notes taken, thanks
 


If you ask around...you'll hear that my car handled as good or better than Addco bar cars. One of the locals has BMR bars and swears mine handled better. Pissed him off pretty badly. I went budget and never once regretted it.

Scotty took a ride in the car.. didn't stop yelling from the second I put it in Drive until I tossed it back into Park.
 
Why are you guys stuck on Addco? The stiffest bar isn't necessarily the best. I'm willing to admit I was going for budget overall, but somehow the package of the car ended up amazing.

The Monte bars are solid like GMPP right? Hollows get pretty rusty out here in harsh winters... and you run both the front and rear bars I assume? Mind telling me what tires you run? What's people's reactions when you're running away their Civics and Fbodies and mustangs in corners in a regal?
 
Because I want the rear as tight (within reason of course) as I can get it since all the weight is in the front of the car. We should bring Dezebe1 into this conversation, he literally has done what I'm talking about to his car for lemons racing, lol.
 


Does the GP Lemons car run addco? Everyones in love with addco since the general rule is stiffer rear = better rotation somehow you found a better balance
 
Generally speaking yeah that's how most fwd cars would be setup right? Stiff as possible in the rear with as much weight up front (and soft) for better grip during trail braking and better rotation on lift off throttle, all within reason of course
 
Exactly my line of thinking. I only had money for either the Addco or the lateral arms, and since the Addco was getting harder and harder to find I got it while I could. There's a pretty good wait on them now, from what I read.
