twin charged mini road test

Im still curious as to where all the sh*t talkers and nay sayers have been. Usually the twin charge topic incites arguments of all sorts :)

Just a random thought----I've helped install both a 4-53T and a 6-71T in a pickup and an L800 respectively. While adding a Turbo to an "already" blowered 2-stroke diesel may not be a valid comparison, I did have a conversation with a Screamin' Jimmy owner that had a 12-71TT--The True "Buzzin' Dozen", and he said once turbo boost exceeded blower boost it was just like the blower was along for the ride--no loss, no gain, and a few guys fabbed up some fancy bypass setups on the theory that the supercharger(s) were a bottleneck, but for all the work, there were no measurable gains to be had. Apparently the big Detroits could handle 100+PSI in/out of the charger as long as everything was sealed up adequately and the motor was fitted with BIG injectors. If I remember right the heads could be modified to accept the 92 or even 149 series injectors, both of which were commonly modified to supply way more fuel back when Detroits ruled the Truck Pulls.

Hm, thanks for the info! Now I won't be beating this "Dead horse"! :th_thumb-up:

And LS1Camaro, nice setup! How much power is that car currently making? And do I see a fellow R+ fan from your vids? :D
