Top Swap/SSM90

I want a supercharger, so I just bought a gen 3 M90, L67 LIM, L67 fuel rails/injectors, L67 heads, L67 exhaust manifolds. But now I'm not sure if I want to get into the whole top swap, do people normally have good luck with the SSM90 kit from ZZP? If so is there an alternative to their $450 fuel rail, can I make the L67 or L36 one work? I'm trying to decide what's going to be the cheapest way to get the blower on my car...

If I continue with the top-swap then the heads I bought need to be magnafluxed and checked for cracks etc. (BTW: does anyone know how much it would cost to get a set of heads re-worked?) I would have to pay to have the S/C and LIM P&P, plus pick up the rest of the necessary parts.

Would the SSM90 be cheaper? considering I could use the LIM and S/C I have as core's for the ported ones from the kit. Plus it's supposed to be easier to install.

Any ideas or suggestions?

well since you already have most of the parts that arent used in the SSm90 setup u might as well do a normal swap...and i personally wouldnt like my S/C run off my accesory belt

I paid $180 to have my heads dipped, rebuilt, cleaned, 3-angle valve job, valves resurfaed, fluxed for cracks, and milled to ensure flatness. They looked brand new when I got them back. Just to flux them if you went that way wouldn't be too expenive I'm sure.

1 belt is just plain silly imo

Imo do the entire top-swap, if you continue to mod your car it will make things easier in the long run.

You're supposed to have work done to the heads before you put them on?

Its optional but, to have them re-done would just further protect your investment imo. I paid about $190 to get mine rebuilt from a race shop. They knew exactly what motor it was from. He asked me, "Buick? 3800?" I knew I took them to the right place. They did an awesome job.

It would be wise. You don't want to put it all together to find out they're warped or be stuck with the fact that they're dirty from the previous owner. Get them cleaned up. Very worth it.

Here's what my heads looked like before and after:

Pretty much the same thing that happened with me.

if youve never done engine work you dont want to try and seal those MLS gaskets. they are going to be a super pain in the ass.
